this is my favorite place in Portland. hands down. I live out of town, but this place keeps me coming back! great drinks and vegan food from a very kind and chill staff, ample seating variety, great food and drink menu. just a place you want to spend hours at, solo or with friends! highly recommend when in the city.
I had high hopes for this place. They have a great sounding menu and loads of outdoor seating. It’s counter service. You order at the bar. The food is ok. There’s nothing inherently bad about it but it’s pretty one note. My partner and I each got different bowls and we were both tired of them long before we finished eating all of it. The bathroom was dirty. Had we seen the bathroom before we ordered, we would have gone elsewhere.
I popped in the Bye and Bye because I heard they had vegan Southern cuisine. I’m in Portland looking for vegan soul food. This wasn’t what I was looking for, but the food was still good. Next time, I’m trying the Bye and Bye Beyond Burger without the onions. They have a couple of Southern-inspired sides on the menu, so I got a few of those, and they were good.
