This Caffe Umbria in the Pearl lacks a little bit of the charm that the one downtown has but is still a comfortable place to enjoy a cup of coffee.

I tried a Cortado and it was far too hot which was a bummer as it's supposed to be a ready-to-go drink but I had to wait ~10 minutes till it was drinkable. This was the same case for the chai we got so I assume the barista just steamed the milk too long.

Besides that, this Caffe Umbria is definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!

Busy coffee spot in Portland in the Pearl District, part of a coffee chain.

They had a tasty pepper coffee that kind of tastes like a hint of egg nog that was quite enjoyable for the holiday season.

Outside of ordering and making your coffee, everything else is self serve, like putting cups and dishes away.

Coffee is decent, they also give you some dark chocolate squares with your order. They also have some decent pastries, but they’re not made in house.

This place is pretty legit!
My stoned ass got lost finding it to get my partner a coffee, but hey, that's my fault.

Nice staff and some decent food.

Customers looked at me weird but that's understandable.

Nice location, good service, nice coffee. My only problem is that my phone does not receive reception inside.

Good decaf espresso latte - but yes it’s overpriced. It’s a very small cup for $5

Whipped cream is $1 extra… ?

Service was bleh - ladies working there weren’t welcoming.

If you want to support local small shops it’s great - if you want better portion for your drinks - Starbucks is a short walk away and their iced oat milk decaf latte was great also.

Was recommended by our guide Ryan from Furioso Vineyard. My partner and I was visiting Oregon and came for the coffee because of the recommendation. SIMPLY has THE BEST LATTE (Whole milk). Came back twice on a 3 day trip for it and went back with their largest bag of coffee bean. SIMPLY LOVE. Everyone must come.

* The price is high compared to the size of the food and drinks.
* There is a long wait with only two ladies working there.
* The service is bad—no smiles, no greetings, nothing. There's nothing special about their coffee.

* My recommendation: Save your money and try another store.

I waited while coffee attendant had a lengthy conversation with someone, I was the only person in line, yet this conversation lasted ten or more minutes.

My favorite coffee place in Portland, I love the atmosphere of the cafeteria and their coffee is simply delicious.

I had a coffee with ground pepper corn on it, a delightful combination.
