Not a clean place , food is not good , and my whole table of (8) got food poisoning. Instead of an apology I was told I went somewhere else and got food poisoning. They also don’t do refunds would not recommend eating here unless your goal is to lose weight from not being able to eat for days my poor son is still unable to keep food down and he is 4 so you could understand the disrespect I felt when I didn’t even receive an apology or a resolution. 0/10 do NOT RECOMMEND

This is truely an amazing location.

I can say that I have a decerning eye for quality of service, presentation and of course the taste of a good meal. Captains choice Cajun seafood goes beyond expectations in all three categories ( a true rarity ) I will recommend this restaurant to anyone interested in great food and an amazing atmosphere.

EDIT: AFTER SHOPPING HERE MANY TIMES I NOTICED PORTION SIZES SHRINKING AND NOT GETTING VALUE FOR MY MONEY, PLEASE DISREGARD WHAT IVE HAD SAID PREVIOUS AS IT IS NO LONGER ACCURATE IN MY OPINION

I had a lobster tail special: a bowl of a lobster tail, crab legs, shrimp, corn, and potatoes. The food was delectable. It comes in a rich broth that you will want to soak the stuff in. Know your strengths - mild was already quite spicy. It was fingerlicking good. I'd say a special is a bit more than an average person can finish, so don't hesitate to share.
The drinks menu has beer, shoju, and soft and hot drinks.
The restaurant is very large. You won't have issues getting space for a group of 8+. The vibe is of a diner.

The only issue I've had is the snow crabs have been living in the tank too long, talked to owner and they made it right and said they'd improve. It can also be a bit expensive, $200 for my son and me no alcohol. But the sauce is the best by far of any crab boil place, far more complex and complimentary than the other places in Portland.

The lobster, crab and shrimps are fresh, the sauce also tasty, however if you don’t mind to spent $48 to get those items and two small pieces corn, two small chunks of potato, a unfortunately you might still be hungry afterwards.

Food flavor is superb . I just didn’t know you should add a bunch of toppings onto your Cajun if you order one portion for two people .

Best softshell crab I have ever had. Lightly battered and not greasy. Fries are interesting, but good also. My mom loved her fish also. ( the review didn't give me an option for the soft shell crab basket)

Family of 4 ordered the fried shrimp basket. The shrimp were super old, tough, chewy, and freezer burnt. They were yellowish in color. Surprised neither of us got sick. There was absolutely NOTHING Cajun about them. No flavor and no spices.
There was one person serving every table, so it was slow service.
The atmosphere was lovely.
