We stopped by for a late dinner on a Saturday night. The restaurant was quiet and there were a few parties still eating. The servers were courteous throughout our visit. And the food- the food was phenominal. We each had the Combo #2 (shrimp and crawfish). The portion size was generous and the flavors were decadent. I had the medium cajun sauce and the spice was a little tingly, so beware if you're not used to spice and go for hot or higher; they don't mess around with their spices. Another member in our party tried the mild garlic butter and when I tried it, it was equally as delicious.Would go again.

The crab and shellfish here is very tasty! The clam chowder was a bit on the thick side, which I didn't care for, but the taste was good. Calamari appetizer was fantastic - no heavy breading. We ordered the butter sauce for one of our boils and the Cajun spice for the second boil; the Cajun was superior.

This is the worst seafood I've ever had. Lobster was over cooked and old the crab legs were cold as ice and the shrimp is another story by it's own. I wish I could give this place less than one star. Do not waste yoyr money

I am not sure why they call this place Cajun but there is nothing Cajun about it.I got the oyster po'boy with Cajun fries. The bread for the po'boy was pretty bad as was the coleslaw they put in there. The oysters were not quite right as well. Fries were fine but no Cajun seasoning. The ambiance was... well... interesting. There is a very odd show or something playing from their projectors on the wall. It makes no sense and I think it's supposed to simulate dropping acid or possibly it's the video explanation of scientology. The music was quiet, much quieter than their security system that says FRONT DOOR every time the front door opened. Most of their televisions are covered with rope chandelier things. One was frozen on a news program, one wasn't on and one was playing the weather, not that you could see them behind the chandelier things. All in all, a pretty bad experience. The service was fine but it didn't make up for everything else.

I’ve only ever ordered the crab from here (because it’s my favorite thing!), but I love all the flavors I’ve tried! Garlic butter for the win - it’s delightful! They always package with care as well which I appreciate. Highly recommend if you enjoy boils.

My order included 2 types of crab with spicy Cajun sauce. I loved it and will return the next time I visit Portland.

Wasn't happy with the taste of the food and the price of the 1 lb shrimp head off. The sauce was runny and lacking flavor. Should have went to Bag O' crab ? instead off 82nd. Prices at Bag o Crab are cheaper and better flavor. But since they were near my place and never tried it, I went. They also charge $1 for take out fee, which was never mentioned beforehand over the phone. All in all, they overcharge, the food wasn't tasty... i won't be coming back.

Was served cold king crab and told it was a big claw and that’s why. Obviously quality control is very low.

Well, it's food. It's not Cajun food, but it's something like it. It wasn't bad, but it definitely wasn't good either. I don't know what to call the dish they call jambalaya, but it is definitely not jambalaya. The tempura soft shell crab was fine, but kind of hard to mess that up too bad. As the meal settles, I just keep enjoying the whole thing less. I went and dug through some other reviews, and I have to agree with another person who said the food was served in what appears to be big stainless steel dog bowls, LOL. Too true. And it's like Cajun by way of China, or something like that. The vibe is really odd. There's a massive screen playing nature scenes while the room is draped in fishing nets and LED rope lights. All to the soundtrack of terrible pop music, and they kept the old Village Inn booth seating, so it still has that old diner feel too.Honestly, how does this place have such a high ranting? It's pretty much trash.Do yourself a favor and avoid the disappointment.Parking: If you love parking, it's a lotKid-friendliness: Kids will probably love this place
