I love the neutrality. I’m somewhere in the middle and it’s nice to have a place not blasting there beliefs in your face. Will be stopping by this weekend.
So disappointed to learn about the homophobic, ignorant ownership and how they have treated their queer employees. I have been a frequent customer at Cathedral since moving to St John’s in 2017, and will now never go here again. Removing pride flags is not a “neutral” policy- it is blatantly catering to those who would feel offended by pride imagery aka bigots. It is creating an UNsafe space for queer patrons and employees. Conveniently located near Trimet bus stops, it is a bit out of the way from downtown but worth the visit. There is a library and side spaces, so it does not feel overcrowded when busy. The great atmosphere is perfect for enjoying a hot chocolate or the gluten-free Egg Bites.
