Opted for Cha Ya after walking over to Hawthorne Asylum. Price was fair for what you get. $13 for a Steak Bowl over rice that felt like it had a lot of meat in it. Nice egg to add a little flavor variation and a good sauce. Food was very good (in fact someone in our group couldn't keep their fork out of my bowl!) and the size was good enough that I was able to save half for later. Would definitely return.
This was one of the first spots I ate at when I discovered the Hawthorne Asylum food carts pod and it has remained one of my favorite go-to for their pork belly fries! Without a doubt, the pork belly fries would be the first things I order when I walk into the food cart area; definitely must try! Generally, the service takes anywhere from 15 - 30 minutes depending how busy it gets (There's usually only 1 person working there).
