Best crust I have had in years!! Therefore best pizza right? Because the crust seals the whole pizza deal.
First off, walk in and it’s clearly a family ran joint. Son kicking a soccer ball around, dad making pizza and mom putting boxes together. All of them warmly welcome you.
We ordered a stuffed crust veggie pizza add pepperoni, breadsticks, and spicy honey wings.
Their sign said the crust was buttermilk infused. SO GOOD! We live in OC and do not like a single pizza place there. All the crust takes like cardboard- flavorless.
Spicy honey wings were also really flavorful. Personally I could use more spice but the honey was notable!
The atmosphere was just straight pizza pick up joint. Nothing to write home about but you’re picking up pizza so as long as it’s clean then big whoop.
Thank you again to City Pizza for the delicious pizza and warm welcome! We will absolutely be returning and sending others your way.

We took our two boys out to see Christmas lights on Christmas night and City Pizza was open. We stopped in to get a bit to eat and the owners were absolutely amazing people. Our hope was the food was just as good and it exceeded our expectations. Just before we left, the owners wife also extended a really nice treat to our boys, that made their night. Highly recommend and wishing the best in their new business adventure. Thank you again for your amazing service! We will be back.

Good pizza at decent price. The family working at this place are very polite. The guy even walked the pizza to my car as I did a walk in order and it was busy.

We order pizza here (buy one get one free on pizza and cheesy bread) and I believe we were charged for all four plus delivery. All four items were burnt with little to no chicken on the pizza and little to no jalepenos on the cheesy bread. It was so dry it felt like swallowing a golf ball and we ended up drinking an entire two liter of soda plus water to get through this it was so dry. The cheese was almost non existent and also burnt. Will never come here again
This an excellent pizza place under new management. I have gone to City Pizza 4 times now. Each time the pizza was excellent and the staff was incredibly friendly. Highly recommended.

City Pizza PDX delivered a pathetic, burnt slab of dough that was an insult to pizza. Not a shred of meat, just a crispy, overcooked mess that belongs in the trash. Absolute garbage—save your money and your tastebuds from this pathetic excuse of a pizzeria

Consistently good pizza. I have only ordered from a takeout app, but I’ve always enjoyed the pizza. I’m from the Detroit suburbs & was excited when they started carrying Detroit style. None of our pizza in Detroit suburbs had the sauce on top, but I am happy to be able to easily scrape it off (not a marinara fan), and the deepdish is delightfully greasy just as it should be. When we order round pizza we get bacon on it which is ACTUALLY bacon, not ham labeled as bacon. So also a win!

I’ll be honest, I had soured on this place towards the end of its time as ‘Champ’.
Went back to see what changed after the rebrand, and am so glad I did.
The owner/cook is so friendly, patient, and gave an all around positive pickup interaction, really felt like a neighbor rather than a number.
The hand-tossed:
City cooks it properly, no Champ-style undercooked dough here! A good sauce-to-cheese ratio with a solid crust and a slice that isn’t soggy, limp, or cardboard-like. High quality pepperoni that doesn’t overwhelm or leave that weird film in your mouth.
The Detroit:
Typically not a fan of the deeper dish pizzas but City manages to keep it from being greasy or burnt at the edges like is common at a lot of local places. Good poofy dough that isn’t full of oil like cheap chains do.
THE WINGS:
DO NOT SLEEP ON THESE WINGS
The best deal for price/quantity I’ve found post-pandemic, served to me hot, fresh, and just the right amount of sauced.
Like I cannot express how much these wings completely stand on their own.
If you’ve been wanting a classic wing like you remember ‘back when wings were a quarter each’, this is what you’ve been waiting for.
REPEAT: DO NOT SLEEP ON THESE WINGS

City Pizza is worth checking out after taking over from the previous Champ pizza ownership. We ordered a large stuffed crust cup pepperoni with Mike's Hot Honey and a meat lovers detroit, and both were very fresh and high quality. We ordered for a pool party and everyone commented on how great the pizza was.
Worth checking out if you haven't ordered since the switch from Champ Pizza.
