Great chicken! Breading is very good and it held up great for delivery. I got hotter but still wanted more. Side of bread and pickles were good too. Highly recommend this chicken!! Spice levels are not on par with what they do in Nashville but still good chicken.

Ordered through postmates. Got their spicy fried chicken sandwich. Stupid good, a simple toasted bun with bread n butter pickles, slaw and spicy fried chicken pieces. I ate the whole giant sandwich in under 15 mins, highly recommended for people who truly love fried and crispy breaded chicken. This is the sandwich stuff dreams are made of.

The pickles are really good too, the mac salad is delicious, the lemonade was amazing, the chocolate chip cookies are chewy and awesome, and the vegan peanut butter coconut bar was really unique and yummy! Your chicken sandwich is fire, but wtf is your potato salad??? A potato salad is not a salad that replaces the lettuce with potatoes. It's a completely different thing. Chickens f****** good though, don't change that

Wonderful, real pieces of chicken with sides and fixings homemade with care. We had our order delivered and there was a mess up on the delivery apps side that caused a wait. Charlie's not only remade our food to be fresh but offered a sweet as an apology (none needed!). A great place I'd order from again.

This is, hands down, without a doubt the best chicken in Portland. Another reviewer is right, it's like there is some secret addictive ingredient. We lived in Nashville for a few years, and got used to Prince's Hot Chicken (very famous and the best of the best). I have been searching every since we moved back to Portland for great hot fried chicken. I haven't even been able to find good fried chicken, let alone hot. THIS IS FANTASTIC. Thank you so much.

Really wanted to like this. It was fine, though I definitely have qualms. heat is something I'm fine with, but when it lacks balance, it hurts my feelings. Caked on cayenne and the overwhelming smell of a bakery (sweet treats & meats don't do it for me). I'm sorry if I'm being harsh, ya'll do what you do. could use a little more vinegar twang, but confident you'll reign it in.
I'm starting to think they put some sort of addictive ingredient in this chicken.. I've eaten at this place 3 times a week for the last couple months.. not healthy. But soooo good. I never seem to get sick of it either. I've never eaten food that was so good I would crave it every time I got hungry!

I enjoy spice and this place is legitimately spicy. The breading is crisp and the chicken is really juicy. Even delivery the chicken sandwich is perfect and the fries are crisp.

Sorry, Charlie's. The chicken was undercooked, and the nicely crunchy skin was so over-seasoned it burned my mouth and everything my fingers touched. (I ordered "hot", a step up from "mild", but it was insanely hot and inedible.) The only thing I could taste was cayenne, not chicken. The comeback sauce tasted like mayo with a squirt of ketchup- boring and did not add to the meal. Maybe it was just an off night for y'all but it was so far off for me that I won't be returning. The only plusses were the tasty bread and the quick delivery.

The chicken sandwich-Flavorful, juicy and so spicy! The bun is soft and toasted and the fries are seasoned just the right amount. I'm sad to say they are closed today (Monday) but my craving made me come and give them a review. Can't wait to try more on their menu.

I ordered the chicken sandwich (mild), a side of coleslaw, a side of crinkle fries and an Arnold Palmer. The chickens only flavor is hot which is disappointing because the chicken itself is of such good quality. The coleslaw came in the same box as my sandwich which made the bottom piece of bread soggy. The portion of coleslaw was disappointing for the amount charged. The french fries, while cooked to a great texture, are extremely over seasoned which is disappointing. The Arnold Palmer had good flavor and was ok.
