It was just okay.LOUD. Immediately upon being escorted into the main space, my ears were ringing. It was full in there today, which meant you gotta yell at your dining companion to be heard.DRINKS. Wanted a cocktail with brunch so I ordered a tall paloma. The standard very-base recipe is tequila, grapefruit juice, lots of lime. It was 95% juice, and I didn't taste any lime. I don't enjoy a really strong alcoholic beverage, but I had to ask "what tequila was used" (El Jimador) as a way of figuring out if there was any tequila in it at all. Worst paloma I've ever had.FOOD. I had the meatloaf breakfast. I had ordered my eggs over-easy, they came over-well. The pork gravy on the meatloaf was incredibly bland. The meatloaf itself had good flavor, but it was D R Y. The best part of my meal was the potatoes. My companion had the egg breakfast w/ loukaniko sausages. Eggs were cooked as requested. Sausages were flavorful but again, D R Y. Sausages need fat. These didn't have much fat.SERVICE. Fine. It was adequate and she was friendly.Overall: Save yourself the mediocre experience and SKIP City State and find one of the many other great breakfast spots in town.

It turns out that I'm a little bit of a meatloaf fan, and I've ordered it here twice; First time was traditional style, the second was dressed up like a burger. The pancakes are not out of control, but if you're not a big eater I'd start with one, and order another if you need it, they can come out of the kitchen pretty quickly.I can also recommend the huevos ranchero with crispy corn tortillas. It was filling, and had that perfect balance of ingredients that so many restaurants seem to get wrong. My better half vouches for the crab cake eggs Benedict, but I find it too rich for my taste.Vegetarian options: There seems to be 2-3 vegetation options, which for a breakfast joint is pretty common.

After working on a project a friend and I found this place online. The place is small and we did have a wait. We both really liked our breakfast but the lousy music was way too loud and the grits were very dry.The highlight was the lemon scone, I'd drive back for a dozen of them
Delicious comfy brunch spot with meaty and vegan options. Great place to go to for breakfast or lunch. Their coffee is from cellar door coffee roasters. They have a outdoor covered seating area with lots of room.

I’ve been coming to this little gem of a breakfast spot for quite a while now and I must say, they had a little rough patch in the middle years there. But nowadays, the last 3 times I’ve been here, it’s been a great experience. Just like when I first started coming back in like 2010. The food is great, I always would get my go to…the deluxe breakfast, which was usually what did the job. But this time I had the country fried steak and was pleasantly surprised. Gravy and the steak was delicious. Last time I had their breakfast meatloaf and it was so damn good. And their Bloody Mary’s are wonderful!! I love getting to sit at the bar, makes me feel like I’m back home in New England. The staff is always great, very friendly. I really enjoy coming here, I recommend it for sure.

The food was yummy, and the atmosphere was busy. I definitely recommend the pork belly eggs Bennie and my guy recommend their blueberry pancakes.. overall, I enjoyed our bunch with lattes. The potatoes that came with was great. We went on a Saturday between 10:30am and 11am, it was steadily busy, we waited about 10 minutes to be seated and roughly 45mins for our food.
The staff were very friendly and attentive, I highly recommend the avocado bacon eggs Benedict, it was full of flavor and voided to perfection, also note that I substituted the English muffin for their house made biscuits on the recommendation of the waitress when asked for her opinion and they did NOT disappoint!

A solid selection of benedicts. The homemade biscuits are fantastic. To further the emphasis on this restaurant being a bakery forward establishment, daily scones are offered in a sweet and savory variety. Great place, and now a staple in our brunch rotationVegetarian options: Great vegetarian gravy.
