I had the pleasure of stopping by Cliffs during a solo trip to Portland. I had stopped by to get their Steak and Fries (saw from TikTok) and it did not disappoint. I also had the soup paired with it and everything was so delicious. You can tell the food was made with care and just tasted like an elevated home meal. The service and staff? Absolutely lovely. The owner was so amazing to talk to and made me feel comfortable despite being the only one there at one point. The other bar staff was also so lovely to talk to and just made the overall experience so comfortable. Love the aesthetic of the bar as well with the cute tables and decor of a dive type bar. 10/10 WOULD strongly recommend

Stopped in on a whim and left wondering why I hadn’t been here sooner. The vibe is laid-back but with serious attention to the food — you can tell they care about every plate. I had the smoked fried chicken sandwich and it was next-level good, like “I’m telling all my friends” good. Fries were perfectly crispy, drinks were spot on, and the staff made me feel right at home. This place is the real deal.

Josh's specials belong in a James Beard Award winning restaurant. You think I'm joking, but you're wrong. This guy is an artist. The kind of food that will permanently alter your standards.
Oh, and if there isn't a special then the nachos are bananas. Elevated dining experience.
Oh, and if you're not hungry then you'll have a blast with Sierra.
Don't be a chump. Be a Cliff's regular.

I’ve been on the search for best nachos in Portland and Cliff’s blew it outta the park! Vegetarian nachos can be…underwhelming, but the flavor profile of Cliff’s green chili cheese sauce was 🤌🏼. I will be thinking about these Nachos for days.

Phenomenal steak fries with the sherry sauce. 15/10, quality of the food and service was outstanding!!
So this place is setup to look like a pretty good neighborhood bar that you mostly go to because everyone's friendly and you can roll home.
That's a facade.
It's really a fun neighborhood place where everybody's friendly and you can get a le cordon bleu grade shrimp po boy that your new Orleans Grandma would be proud of and cocktails worthy of Harry's.
I wish I lived within rolling distance but I'll be back!

Really appreciated the fast and friendly service.
Thank you for two amazing evenings here, the rib eye special was worth the second visit!
Went there last night out of convenience and stumbled into the best bar meal I’ve had in a long time! Can’t stop thinking about that fried shrimp po boy… 🤤
Also sick vintage collection, the OLY is 🔥 🍺
I’m on a mission to find the best nachos in Portland, and Reddit brought me here. Next time I’ll get them with no meat, they are just that good. Something about the chips is what put this one over the top, but the toppings did not fall short whatsoever. Everything was added with a purpose & a clear vision was understood eating my first chip. From the chipotle flavor in the beans, to the multiple layers of cheese, pickled red onion, jalapeño, radish, crema & chives, even the toasted pepitas & cabbage I was initially skeptical of. Everything tied together wonderfully. Absolutely solid! Easily the best we’ve had so far, & we loved the ambiance too. Highly recommend.👌
