Looking for a good steak and decided to try Cydes. They got us in at the time of our reservations. The room we sat in was very loud. Not a huge deal. I ordered prime rib and my guest ordered tenderloin. We both ordered rare. Both came out medium. She sent hers back and they took her plate. I ate mine because I didn’t feel like complaining. The flavor was so so. I give it a 5/10. The tenderloin was good quality and came out 10 mins later after I had half my food eaten. The second time it was cooked correctly. The service was polite but she didn’t seem all that attentive. Especially for a $100 meal that wasn’t right from the start.
elegant fantastic food the creamed spinach is delicious. A plus absolutely would buy again. Alex Bond, Elise Shumock says hi from the book pub.
Good Food. Strong Drinks. Good atmosphere.
Loved the veggies and the rib eye! Great service and nice atmosphere. The creme brûlée is top notch. Highly recommend.
Beautiful atmosphere, the decor included informative photos of African American artists.
The servers were attentive and friendly.
The prime rib was perfectly seasoned and cooked to specifications. Even the broccoli was savory. The desert was delicious. The cheesecake had a passion fruit sauce that added a wonderful contrast of sweet and tart.
The music from the lounge was perfect background for an awesome evening.
Perfect place for a Birthday day steak
The entire experience was great. Loved the band playing in the bar. Very diverse group of people all enjoying the delicious food and drinks.
Will be back many times.
There employees were rude and in some cases malicious a young front of house lady wasn't objectively horrible but had very horrible energy and intention on several occasions. It's ridiculous you'd have to tell people to hold them selves.
And just completely rude employees with racist and demeaning remarks on several occasions. Then being an organization as in any businessness one would blantly see the protection in professionalism that's not at all present. Putting them and everyone at an unessacry careless risk. It's obvious certain employees need to be relieved and their poor behavior them causing problems or seeing any and fabricating problems where non are present should never be seen as them being good enough. Especially in terms of them possibly hurting dynamics or whole relationships w valued employees and people and when they should know better to begin with.
And the health department would have a field day given anyone who cared actually audited.
Surf and turf was fantastic!

Great service. Prime Rib was cooked perfectly. All sides were excellent also, creamed spinach, Cauliflower au gratin. Good cocktails. Only knock was the roasted broccoli was too saturated with whatever they used, I thought for a little bit that they deep fried it, but it definitely had a roasted taste, just greasy. The restaurant could use a little renovation, but that might lead to higher prices, which were surprisingly moderate in this current economic climate. Good food, for a fair price, and awesome service.

Love this place. Some say it's not the best but for the price and the ambiance, it absolutely is. Just stick to the beef though, the lamb was overpriced and the portion was trash

Went here for a birthday party and was EXTREMELY disappointed with the food. My friends were raving about it and I found the meat completely uninspired and flavorless. We got the steak bites and they tasted like boiled meat, the sauce they came in was more like watered down au jus. The French onion soup I had was good but not great, pretty greasy. The cocktails were ok but not generous, nothing mind-blowing.
Staff was friendly and attentive.
Atmosphere is what you're paying for here, a step back into the 60s. But I will not be back for the food whatsoever.

I have not been here for many years but driven by 1000s time. The parking lot was packed, and way at the end was a spot clearing. The service was good. The Hanger Steak was really good, and I liked how the broccoly was prepared. A Manhatten for me hit the spot followed by some decaf with Creme Brulee as desert. I like the lighting and lack of windows. Cozy and more private.
