Coopers Hall is the best. I am a wedding photographer and have shot numerous celebrations at Coopers Hall with only great experiences to share. They are wonderful to work with, treat everyone (even the vendors) with great respect and dignity and have such lovely spaces for events to take place in. If you are looking for an amazing space close to downtown Portland and walking distance to several hip hotels, Coopers Hall is tough to beat!

Choosing Cooper's Hall as our wedding venue was one of the best decisions we made while planning our wedding! Wedding planning is stressful but the staff at Cooper's Hall did so much to mitigate that stress. We worked with Coral as our day of coordinator, however, she was in communication with us from start to finish. She was always happy to answer our seemingly silly questions. She is extremely professional and communicative. On the day of, we didn't have to worry about a thing. Half the time I had no idea what was going on, but Coral would appear to queue us to the next step of the night. She took the time to learn who our friends and family are so that she could respectfully direct them as well. Leading up to your big day, you will be invited to a tasting night to try the seasonal menu, samples wines, meet other couples, and make your selections for your event. It was such a lovely experience for us. Multiple guests told us that the food was the best that they had ever had at a wedding. It is not your traditional bland wedding food! All of the staff at Cooper's Hall are excellent. The wait staff are extremely attentive and efficient, the food was exceptional and the bar staff were amazing as well. They truly think of everything so that you don't have to worry on the day of. Wedding's are expensive, but my husband and I both felt that it was money well spent for the experience that we had. If you are looking for an urban, romantic venue that is low-stress, I don't think you will be disappointed with Cooper's Hall!

Highly recommend this place. I've been to events at both their locations (The other is on NE Broadway). The chefs are fantastic. The food was served family style in both cases. It seems they cater out desserts but that works well because you get excellent desserts. The ambiance is nice and the staff are helpful My only critique is that the acoustics weren't ideal at the 6th avenue location as it was hard to hear sometimes. We had a band at the Broadway venue and that worked out well and sound was great. A great option for hosting your event in town!

Recently my company held a corporate cocktail reception at Coopers Hall. We hosted 100 guests with an open bar, heavy appetizers and live music. The event was an overwhelming success! The food was delicious and abundant (try the Japanese fried chicken, the cornbread madeleins and the cripsy cauliflower!), the staff was attentive and accommodating, and the decor was comfortable, elegant, but not fussy. Not being from Portland, I was worried about planning an event remotely. Our event manager, Jennifer, was on top of every detail, even recommending the perfect band for our event. The Junebugs provided lively and fun music that everyone enjoyed.
I can honestly say that in my history coordinating events for our company, that Coopers Hall ranked at the top of our list of wonderful receptions.

Wedding planning can be stressful, but Coopers Hall had it all- we were minimal with decor since the venue itself is so beautifully set up, the food was INCREDIBLE (they adjusted their menu to provide passed appetizers all night rather than a full sit-down meal, and our guests LOVED it), and Coral was wonderful to work with as our day-of-coordinator. Not only that, but the staff here is so fantastic that they even had a relationship with our photographer from previous events she had been a part of. From start to finish we were thrilled with our event.
