The food is great. It is as closed to being authentic as there is. If you enjoy spicy and bursting flavors then you gotta give this place a try. Love their beef jerkys. It's spicy but then again, it is Lao style jerky.

Parking: There is just limited parking space.

I love this place. Exquisitely delicious food, great small bar, and never a line. It’s one of the hidden gems of Portland. Def get the Nam Khao and branch out from there.

Whoa, this place makes REALLY tasty Lao food. I've become accustomed to subpar Southeast Asian restaurants in Portland, so I really wasn't expecting much when I stepped inside with my friend. The place is really nicely decorated, clean, and cute, which added to our skepticism, as a lot of authentic restaurants tend to be simple or even dingy. They offer a lot of good Lao comfort dishes, for people who are new to the cuisine as well as those who already have favorites. Their special of pork belly fried sticky rice is extremely delicious, packed with flavor and spice in every bite and fresh ingredients. My friend was blown away by the quality of the food, and she's one to be easily disappointed if things aren't done right. It's also fairly priced here which adds to how wonderful the experience is. I'm definitely coming back and trying more on the menu sometime, and I've already recommended it to a couple of people.

Parking: Small parking lot attached to the building and minimal street parking. Didn't have issues finding parking outside the building Sunday lunchtime

We went for a retirement party that Cully catered. Everything was wonderful. The heavens beef was good, but a bit sweet for my preference but it paired well with the papaya salad and sticky rice.
I had been here before to have a light lunch. And the staff is still as amazing as always. The drinks were delicious. I had a lychee something that was so refreshing, I needed two more. No pictures because I was to busy scarfing down the food.

Great cocktail. I recommend the laohito. Good pork sausage but the the Nam salad takes the cake.

This place serves it's purpose for the neighborhood and I'm glad it seems to be thriving.

I understand Lao food is funky but It was overly fish sauce forward and would greatly benefit from a balance of sour, spicey and sweet.

Unfortunately, everything we had was overcooked including the sausage which burst from its casing.

One high note, the cucumber salad was great but I'm unsure why the papaya salad was not. I would assume they use the same sauce?

Every palate is different and it's definitely worth a try for the American palate.
