EVERYTHING IS AMAZING… I don’t even know how to describe what I’m feeling! Their oysters are blowing my mind, so good, so milky. I’m from Ohio, and this is my 1st time here. I can’t find anything like this in Ohio

Great place to dine on a night out, selection of seafood dishes are delicious, especially oysters and calamari; the restaurant itself is wonderful with lots of unique decorations, service is excellent here too

Great old school Old Town institution with friendly salt of the earth staff and a guaranteed good time. The fish and chips also known as the fried seafood combo because you can choose up to four different fried seafoods was super fresh, delicious, and light. Light because they just use a rice flour dusting and there's no way for anything to absorb much oil. Sounds gluten free if it's just rice flour. Oh well I won't count it against them for being gluten free. LOL. The portion was just adequate for the price. It seems like they could give a much better feeling of value if they just put $0.20 worth more french fries on the plate, and maybe just a pinchmore fish. Oh well I'm overweight anyway. Thank you!

I got Vibrio 2 days later. Sick for 10 days straight. The CDC contacted me and said I was positive for Vibrio from oysters I ate there. Never ever eat there.

Stopped by last Monday for the all day happy hour oysters. They were so good that I just can’t stop thinking about them!! Since I can’t get back there for a couple weeks, I thought I’d write a review. The oysters are so fresh and delicious, you can tell they are just days out of the bay. I also ate the seafood gumbo which would give any southerner a run for their money. So yummy! Loved the staff and nautical historic decor too. I’ll be back asap!

Been coming here for years, one of my favorite spots! I always eat the commissioner stew and a half dozen oysters. Can’t go wrong with either one. Definitely a must visit Portland iconic restaurant!

When you first walk I to the oyster bar, you get a nostalgic feeling along with the aroma of antiques and good food. Very nice. Then when you sit you get attention within a minute or two ..happy hour..yay. I had a ginger lemond drop. Please try it it is delicious. We then had fresh oysters and fried oysters . Fast service..6 different oysters from the West Coast...impressive , great price and so yummy. Then a shrimp Cajun poboy. Not too much heat. Just enough. And smoked Salmon soup .out of this world good. Only one thing I would add celery seeds to the slaw. Our server was Aubree, she was timely, pleasant and she smiled the entire time. We will be back..with friends!

I understand it is a risk and that the preparation can only do so much, but I got pretty nasty food poisoning from these oysters. I dined here on Monday and 3 days later still have severe symptoms and had to miss a flight and work. The fish tacos also left a very strong artificial garlic taste in my mouth for the rest of the night, I’d recommend avoiding those.
