Been going to Denizens since it opened. We were drawn to the exceptional coffee, tasty breakfasts and sandwiches as well as the owner, James and his daughter Lily. This is a warm, inviting place where you can enjoy German pancakes, breakfast bowls, incredibly tasty breakfast potatoes, or (my favorite) a hot turkey dip sandwich. Service is fast and friendly. Eating at the counter, leafing through one of the Natl Geographic magazines available is a great way to relax and slow down a little. We love this spot!

One of my absolute fave spots in PDX to get a quick bite and espresso! The breakfast sandwiches are soooo delicious! They are very veg/ vegan friendly. The owner always goes above and beyond, making everyone feel welcome. I just wish they had a bigger place, more room for additional tables. Maybe one day! I'm just so happy to have places like this in my neighborhood so please go and support this awesome family run business!

Stellar cafe with cozy vibe, amazing service, and really good food! We've been coming by to grab a coffee and pastry most mornings but we finally stopped in for breakfast and asked ourselves why we hadn't done it sooner. The egg sandwich was so good. 100% get the side with salad and potatoes—it's a hearty meal and a great way to kick off your morning.
I'm very much looking forward to trying more things on their menu. ❤️

We had a really nice breakfast and some great coffee here. I was really impressed with the barista who had a lot on her plate and was totally composed and calm. We had a really nice conversation with the owner and I left feeling like this cafe is in good hands. We'll try to come back when we're back in the area.

Today is Saturday August 30th, 2025. I’ve came to Denziens a 1/2 dozen times since they been open for 2 years!! Each time I’ve encountered a positive and peaceful experience from ordering,dining in and the quality of food and temperatures has been EXCEPTIONAL. I will not hesitate for a second to support this GEM. They offer there GF for an additional charge and is YUMMY too. 🎆💃🏻

I went there with a friend to do a food review and I was blown away with the service and the food. When I heard their story of what they went through it touched my heart. They lost their previous place due to Covid. They lost community nights and it's hit them hard. My sole purpose of filming there for my YouTube channel was to help bring more business to their business. Love the owners, so amazing. You guys gotta try the food. You won't regret it. Also, support them by buying their 20.00 bags of coffee. It'll really help them out.
