Departure Restaurant + Lounge in Portland offers a Miami Beach feel with excellent food and beverage selections. The 3-course prix-fixe, cocktails, and dessert were impressive, and the space is light, airy, and fun. The server was attentive, making the dining experience delightful. On the downside, some menu items like the wings and noodle salad were not up to par, but the soup was fantastic. The decor is average, and the service can be inexperienced. The rooftop bar provides a beautiful view of Portland, with fire heaters for colder days, but the menu is pricey with limited options. Unfortunately, it is not very wheelchair accessible.
