Papadams
Crispy lentil flour crackers, lightly spiced with cumin seed. Served with spicy green chutney, tamarind date chutney, and cranberry black-cardamom chutney. 5 crackers per order.
Cardamom Chai Chicken
Mary's free-range organic drumsticks. Tea brined, tea steamed, deep-fried, tea glazed, and finished with cardamom salt. 1# is 3-4 per order, 2# is 5-8 per order.
Crunchy Chickpeas
Cup of crispy fried chickpeas tossed in our house garam masala and smoked paprika. Great snack with a beer or cider.

Aloo Chaat
Crispy fried potatoes tossed in our tangy chaat masala and garam masala mustard. Drizzled with spicy green chutney, tamarind date chutney, smoked tandoori yogurt.

Locally made squirrel and crow chickpea and quinoa tempeh in a smokey coconut milk-based sauce. Plates served with Bengali 5-spice basmati rice, turmeric-mustard vinaigrette slaw, seasonal pickles, and spicy green chutney. Low carb plate is served with double portion of slaw instead of rice. Rice Bowls served with just rice.
Kalonji Kale Keema
Ground Oregon lamb and kale in a rich tomato and butternut squash-based sauce. Plates served with Bengali 5-spice basmati rice, turmeric-mustard vinaigrette slaw, seasonal pickles, and spicy green chutney. Low carb plate is served with double portion of slaw instead of rice. Rice Bowls served with just rice.
Masala Pulled Pork
Tamarind and ginger braised pulled pork, curry confit onions, crispy chickpeas. Served with Bengali 5-spice basmati rice, turmeric-mustard vinaigrette slaw, seasonal pickles, and spicy green chutney.
Seasonal Dhal
Rotating selection of house curry spiced bean and lentil stews with seasonal farm vegetables. Available as a plate with with Bengali 5-spice basmati rice, turmeric-mustard vinaigrette slaw, seasonal pickles and spicy green chutney or a bowl with just rice and some chutney. Plates available low carb with double slaw no rice.
Methi Mirchi Shrimp
Fenugreek marinated shrimp, stir-fried with pumpkin seeds, curry leaf, and chili pepper. Served with Bengali 5-spice rice, turmeric-mustard vinaigrette slaw, seasonal pickles, and spicy green chutney.
Butter Chicken Katsu
Spice marinated, slow roasted, then crispy batter fried Mary's chicken thigh. Slathered with our rich Makhani sauce. Plates served with Bengali 5-spice basmati rice, turmeric-mustard vinaigrette slaw, seasonal pickles, and spicy green chutney. Low carb plate is served with double portion of slaw instead of rice.

Veggie Thali Platter
This is the same as our vegan platter with the addition of our seasonal yogurt raita. Served with Bengali 5-spice basmati rice, turmeric-mustard vinaigrette slaw, seasonal pickles, and spicy green chutney.
Vegan Thali Platter
Plate with both seasonal dhal and tandoori tempeh curry. Served with Bengali 5-spice basmati rice, turmeric-mustard vinaigrette slaw, seasonal pickles, and spicy green chutney.
Sampler Platter
A little bit of everything...Pork, lamb, dhal, tempeh, slaw, 2 papadam, raita, slaw, pickles, chutney, 2 drumsticks. Great to share. No substitutions.

Sweet Things
Carrot Halwa
Slowly simmered carrot and coconut milk pudding, lightly sweetened with coconut sugar and flavored with cardamom. Topped with coconut and candied spiced hazelnuts.

Remember folks, all the negative and over the top ago reviews within a few days of each other are hate brigades. They are bots and accounts that aren’t in Portland and have never experienced Desi Pdx. since no service was provided it should not be considered valid.

DesiPDX is fire. The cardamom chai chicken was perfectly spiced—so tender and flavorful. The katsu plate? Super crispy and packed with flavor. Even the sides are thoughtful. You can tell there’s real love and intention behind the food. Total gem—support spots like this!

The tandoori tempeh was hands down the tastiest tempeh I’ve ever had - packed with flavor and an outstanding texture. The pickled veg and garlic was a delicious contrast to the rich curry. I also saw the person working offer someone less fortunate a plate of food, and the generosity was really lovely to see. Highly, highly recommend.
