I was ignorant & ordered the Raita- thinking it was a veggie side dish, it was more like just a extra sauce. I would have enjoyed less packaging also. It did help calm down the spice in a friend's dish:)

Aloo Gobi came with a curry, worst ever dish and the food had zero spice, no cutlery was sent with food, we were looking forward to some Indian food, bad experience, if you are in Portland and need Indian food, this is not Indian food

Wow. The butter chicken and garlic naan were prepared incredibly. Seriously so good, not sure how they have bad reviews

Lamb wrap had good flavor, but lamb was very tough and not chewable. Fed it to our dog, who was lying under table and voiced no

When I first tried to buy lunch here on Monday they had no power so I don't know why the cart was even open.Wednesday when I went back I ordered veggie pakora's, as I have had them at about 150+ Indian restaurants/trucks around the world, I like to give them a try as an indicator. They were basically fries battered in chickpea flour with some spices thrown in. As that is not what I was looking for the rest went in the bin and I moved on to another cart.

Shocked to see so many negative reviews, honestly. My SO got lamb vindaloo and a mango lassi from this cart and thought it was an absolute banger of a meal. It looked great to me—really thick, rich sauce and lots of nice, juicy looking chunks of lamb with a healthy portion of fluffy rice. Great price and portion because he had some to take home for later, as he could not finish the whole thing! I watched him get his order taken and the guy at the counter seemed lovely.

I work in the area and pop by to the food cart pods fairly frequently. Lately I’ve been getting a Mango Lassi as a treat, and grabbing a few bites of something while I’m at Dhaba. Lovely little Halal spot, and the gentlemen that takes your order is always so sweet.

I used to eat here all the time about a year ago and was disappointed to see the negative reviews this place had gotten in that time. I tried it out again a few months back and unfortunately understood why it was getting so many negative reviews.Well, I tried it again last week and I am happy to report that this place is back to its former glory and is back to being one of the better Indian joints in Portland. The new guy they have working the truck is incredibly nice, cooks a mean meal and does not mess around with his spice. I've been here like five times in the last two weeks and have no plans of slowing down any time soon.If you tried this place any time in the last year and found yourself underwhelmed, I'd highly recommend going back and giving it another shot.Edit: for what it's worth I've only ever had the lamb vindaloo here, so I can't comment on the other dishes. But the vindaloo is phenomenal
