I ordered an Uber Eats order on 3/23/2026. Food was delicious and delivered in a timely manner. They even helped out with a personalized note for the person I had the order delivered too.

This is the best sandwich place in Portland. IMO. I eat here all the time but also order sandwiches for our work. Yall don't miss a beat. Every sandwich, chips, drink, cookie, special requests accounted for, perfect every time! thanks so much!

After all the high reviews of this place, I was disappointed in the sandwiches I purchased. One roast beef and the other Italian style. The bread rolls were huge with a couple of thin slices of meat and one very thin slice of cheese. The bulk of the sandwiches was bread, lettuce & vegetables. Very disappointing. I rated the service a 3 because the counter guy seemed to be ignoring the people waiting to pick up there orders.

Ordered lunch for the office and everyone raved about their sandwiches, from the Italian, the Muffuletta, to the custom Turkey and Ham, all loved the superb amount of meat in each sandwich and the tasty bread. Definitely will do again

Originally from the East Coast and have had a hard time finding a deli sub that rivals that of the hoagies back home. Well, you guessed it, THIS is the best sandwich shop in the city. I’ve finally found it! Ordered the Spicy Italian and the freshness, flavors, everything was perfect. Hope they don’t ever change a thing! I found myself wanting a second one within the first bite. This is not a drill!!! Don’t walk, RUN, here to get some grub. :)

This location is fairly good.

Tasty sandwiches and hot dogs in a short amount of time. Much better than the poorly managed N Portland location.

The seating area is cramped when multiple people order, and it's not a very inviting space. I'm not a big fan of their kiosk-only, to-go style of ordering. Their restaurants were once nice places to visit, socialize, and have lunch. The walls were decorated with talented local artistry.

A step down, in my opinion.

The Cubano is quite good!

Delicious no frills and straightforward deli sandwich.

If the Ninja Turtles ate anything other than pizza, they would eat East Side Deli sandwiches (specifically the Italian). I believe this with my absolute whole heart. East Side is the type of sandwich shop you dream about... it's what every other shop in town wishes they could be. Having a bad day? Get a sandwich. Hungover after yet another failed Hinge date? Get a sandwich, add a chocolate chip cookie and a Mexican Coke. The Staff is unmatched, friendly and thoughtful and I'm pretty sure you can actually taste the love in every bite.

Love this place! Fantastic meats and breads, fresh vegetables, all wrapped in real butcher paper. Best sandwiches in Portland by far!

My wife usually orders the muffaletta while I tend to go for the Italian. We are never disappointed with the service or the taste. We will be back!
