We came here for a nightcap and a snack. The calamari was delicious and crispy and the Oaxacan old fashioned I had was amazing. Bright and spirit forward. The host and bartender were all so attentive and friendly.
Festive steakhouse in the historic Benson Hotel....but with sky high prices. For the most part, there are better choices. I don't order a steak there anymore. $75+ is silly. But their salads are great. The table side Caesar salad might just redefine your opinion of a Caesar. Lovely live Spanish guitars is a major plus. Be very careful what you order at the bar. Last night’s dinner at El Gaucho Portland was honestly one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had. From the moment we walked in, it felt like the entire room was there to take care of us—not just our fantastic waiter, Dennis (who was phenomenal, by the way), but everyone.
