I've only dined in the restaurant a handful of times over the years, but I enjoy playing video poker in the lounge so we usually have breakfast or lunch in the lounge first then stay and play. The bartenders are friendly and attentive and most of the customers are nice pleasant people. The food is fantastic!

Cane in to have lunch on november 10th stood in the lobby for at least 5 minutes waitress saw my husband and i standing waiting no one greeted us or came out of the back a customer who was eating got up stuck his head into kitchen area and said there are people waiting still no one came out if the workers are more interested in having socail hour why bother to be open what are they getting paid for this is the second time this happened in less than two weeks after 30 years of dining here i will be finding a new place to dine elmers used to be my favorite place thanks for the horrible experience can tell by the low amount of customers not going to last long.??

Food was really good besides the hashbrowns. The bloody Mary was on point and the German pancake was delicious.

When our tour group found out that we were stopping at Elmer's there was a collective groan because Elmer's is usually pretty mediocre at best. This place was a definite exception. The biscuits and gravy were world class, the Reuben sandwich, less so. It was tasty and had a generous amount of meat, but the toasted bread was as black as the ace of spades. Service was absolutely outstanding and the ambience was totally pleasant. This is a definite cut above any other Elmer's we have visited and well worth a return trip.

Stacked up in the foyer waiting for a table. 2(counting me) when I arrived. No restrictions put on customers who came after, so it was impossible to social distance while waiting for a table (there were plenty but they were spacing seating out to......... maintain social distance in dining area.Impossible to social distance the crowded foyer.AND, It took several minutes of standing in the foyer for someone to greet me, though there was staff present .

Honestly, I don't know how these folks stay in business, especially right now during Covid 2020.The food is greatly over-priced and one can only think that this tired old place is pricing based upon past glories??Who Knows.Lots of employees, but very poor service. If your place is empty except for two tables, I would expect that my coffee would be topped up a little more often! One should never have to ask for more coffee in that situation!I would go to the nearby Shari's instead!

My mother-in-law and I were staying next-door in the hotel for a short work related visit. Elmers is a traditional restaurant and we enjoyed it very much. I've never had a German pancake before or the German potatoes the way they make it at Elmers. But I highly recommend it they were excellent! The service at this restaurant is also excellent, the restrooms were clean and they have a little bar next-door for people that want to take advantage of that. There are many good things on the menu. So I had the German pancake me traditionally and squeezed lemon on it. When I discovered that this dish should have lemon squeezed on it, it wasn't particularly appealing but I tried it anyways. You MUST put the squeezed lemon on this German pancake with the butter it was the best mixture of flavors ever I couldn't stop eating it absolutely delicious!

Great food and Very great drinks. Love this down home modern old school grub! Haven't tried the breakfast, but lunch and dinner have been consistently good. Service is great. Being in the service industry for many years myself, the staff has a really phenomenal attitude granted the pandemic. Keep up the great service!
