Our group of four had a fantastic time at the Erath Winery Urban Tasting Room in Portland's Pearl District. Our host was genial and informative, and our flights of wine (plus bonus pours) were excellent. We had a nice cheese board to complement the wine as well. This tasting experience was a great way to get to know more about Oregon wines while having a fun and relaxed afternoon inside a beautiful tasting room. We highly recommend a visit!

A friend and I took advantage of this hidden gem in downtown Portland's Pearl District. We enjoyed sparkling wine and flatbread with amazing service from Tina.

While escaping the Palm Springs summer heat, we are visiting Portland for a week. Erath was one of our first weekend stops, and we're so thankful we did. While the entire team was incredible (wine, snacks, space, conversation), Zoe led our tasting room experience like a boss and was personable, funny, and kind. They shared so much product knowledge and really helped us understand about Oregon and Williamette Valley wines. After time in the tasting room, we enjoyed a glass on their patio, which is the converted loading dock of their historic warehouse space. So cool!
Stop by for a tasting - you won't be disappointed. And if you can snag a tasting with Zoe, you'll be in luck. Thank you!

Tina very pleasant
Yet
Not as good service as in the past with Bree and Gene
Reservations made, table was dirty and not set up , service slow
Long wait for tastings and a reminder was needed after nearly an hour forces Charcuterie board
Also if note, at the pick up party I went to the desk and ordered one half case of Pinot
She charged me and included a 20 per cent tip. Another customer was standing there so I did not make an issue
But, called the next day..I did not think it appropriate !!!
Have so enjoyed our visits in the past

The knowledge of how their wine was made was excellent. The tasting we had made it so we left with 2 bottles of great white wine
And we had the best split pea hummus ever. Now to try and make it. Lol
As must go !!!

The tasting room was warm and inviting, with a comfortable sofa as well as single seats all beautifully made. The music was quietly
enjoyable, fitting the rustic vibe of the space. Our host was kind and friendly, serving us a few flights of the excellent wine, along with a delicious cheese, spread, nuts & flatbread platter.

We came all the way from Tampa Bay, FL for this experience and were welcomed with warm smiles and service. The host and sommelier were helpful and knowledgeable. The interior is well put together and cozy. We don’t get all the varieties of Erath in Florida so it was nice to try them here at the tasting room!

Delicious wines, yummy snick snacks, fun and knowledgeable staff — what more could you ask for in a tasting room?!? Highly recommend visiting the Erath Tasting Room in the Pearl District.

I've tasted at Erath multiple times in the past, but this visit will probably be my last. One of my dear girlfriends invited me for an afternoon of wine tasting in the Pearl district last weekend and we were thrilled to find out that our initial host was the manager. Having been a fan of Oregon wine for many, many decades, I had a fair amount of questions regarding the brand and the wine club. Within 20 minutes our host had rudely passed us off to another staff member after ignoring our questions and empty glasses. I brushed it off and continued with my tasting. We ended up leaving without purchasing any wine or signing up for the club when we overheard the manager openly berate a staff member right next to another table. While I understand issues arise, I was left with a horrid taste in my mouth after witnessing his complete lack of tack.

Oregon is renowned for its Pinot Noir, and Erath is one of the names that helped put Oregon on the global wine map. The story behind Erath Winery is inspiring—an engineer who turned his passion into a legacy, pioneering Oregon’s wine industry by planting Pinot Noir grapes in the Dundee Hills back in 1969. This dedication to the region’s terroir and history shines through in every glass.

We visited the tasting room in downtown Portland and were introduced to some of their reserve wines. As non-experts, we were pleasantly surprised by how smooth and fruity the Pinot Noir was—it was exactly to our taste and just right for special occasions. We enjoyed it so much that we decided to take a case home, especially with the perk of free shipping anywhere in the U.S. if you fly with Alaska Airlines!

We can’t wait to share these wines with family and friends over Thanksgiving and Christmas. If you’re looking for quality Oregon wine with a story behind it, Erath Winery is a must-visit!

Spent a couple of hours at Erath’s Urban wine tasting room and had a really enjoyable time! The space was comfortable and inviting, Gene was incredibly knowledgeable about wines and the Portland area, as was Claire, and the wines we tasted were great! The wines they’re serving in the tasting room are a cut above what you can buy from retail establishments under the same label. We strongly recommend you visit soon and often!

Excellent service from the staff. Their red wine (magique collection) changed the way I viewed red wines. Dry...without being dry...sort of hard to describe...so try it yourself!

The charcuterie board itemization are all locally sourced, so treat yourself.

A wonderful experience! They pour their small production wines, not the supermarket lines. These were great! My pourer, Marissa, was very knowledgeable. And I was super lucky to be able to meet the wine maker, Leah Adint, to talk about the fine art of making wines!
