Stopped here for lunch and got the buffalo chicken sandwich and the bacon and blue fries both were on point! The fries were fresh super crispy like they just came out of the fryer. Same with the chicken crunchy outside juicy inside. You could tell the ingredients were good quality and everything was made with care. Solid meal all around!

I recently moved away from Portland, but was just up the road from Flew the Coop for the three years I was in town. They quickly became one of my favorite carts in the area. Their spicy chicken sandwiches were to die for and the waffle fries were always a happy addition if I felt like splurging. Definitely give them a try if you swing by the Barley Pod.

I waited for o er 20 minutes as the first person in line. They were busy with several tickets ahead of me. The issue is the person at the window never once acknowledged me. They ignored the line, and continued to fill orders and give out online orders. I know they were busy but basic customer service still applies. A simple “hey there it’s going to be a few minutes we need to get these orders out before a take anymore.” Or something, any acknowledgment, they didn’t even make eye contact. It is very disappointing as the food is great. I left, I won’t support bad customer service. My roommate waited it out and got a to go order and they didn’t give him any utensils or napkins.

Their chicken and gravy is on the level of 5 a.m. gas station country food in the southeast. Felt like home. I hope the owner can appreciate what I mean by that.

I have to say I love the name of this cart. I got the bacon blue fries and they were perfectly crispy, good amount of toppings and a good portion. I also got the chicken parm, it was a very good portion at an affordable price and pretty tasty, but I did have to add hot sauce for more flavor near the end to want to finish it.
I’ve never gotten anything that wasn’t awesome from this truck. Always good food, friendly service, and fast!
