First let me tell you about the amazing owner who goes above and beyond. He is meticulous, care so much about his food. I know in my heart I could not recreate the chicken at home and that is what will make me come back. He has mastered this. He is open to critic. I was. Or sure of something and he took the time to talk with me to make it right. See you soon.

had the chicken parm sandwich, $10 is incredibly reasonable imo for the sandwich, was amazing, no notes

the waffle fries were really good too, but I'll skip them next time, can't justify an extra $5 + the charge for sauce...

Get the hot honey chicken sandwich. I have lived all over the country (11 different states) and moved to Portland about 2 months ago. The hot honey is the best chicken sandwich I have ever had in my life. I just checked my order history, and I have been to Flew the Coop 9 times in 2 months.

Will, the owner, is a really nice, reasonable guy and he is super cool to talk to at off hours when he is not busy. He runs the kitchen by himself, and is usually slammed with orders during peak hours (with the help of a cashier). It’s sad that people can’t understand that… these 1-star reviews are sad.

Highly recommend. The $11 price point on all sandwiches is really nice to see these days and will keep me coming back.

I was really looking forward to eating here. The cook at the window was rude. Their open sign was On and was clearly still open. Ten minutes later he just held up a small closed sign. I said, look… your open sign is on so don’t get mad at me. He could have acknowledged me and treated me with some respect and explained things but he chose to be off putting. Coming from a trailer on wheels that serves food, the customer service should be better.

Ordered through an app, missing items, kinda ruined the night. Tasty food but the problem of people not getting everything they ordered seems to be a common issue.

This place is awesome. Their Nashville hot chicken sandwich was beautifully cooked, Juicy and crispy. The seasoning and coleslaw was tremendously flavorful. I am often disappointed with takeout restaurants' Mac'n'cheese, but theirs was perfect. Creamy and cheesy and delicious. Couldn't recommend this place more.

I had the hot honey chicken sandwich and it was delicious. Super fresh bread, crispy chicken, and tasty sauces. I want to try everything else on the menu. Would recommend!

This is my friend favorite food truck Barley Food Pod. I decided to order KFC, Korean Fried Chicken, Chicken was crispy and tender, the Korean sauce is not what I thought it would be, it is not spicy, I wanted to like it more than 3 stars. It ended one just okay. The person behind the counter was fair attitude. It is pretty messy sandwich. I wish I knew what I could add to make sandwich better. It is a big sandwich for me. The waffle fries were good. Street parking, sitting inside, the AC needed to be turned up.

Stopped here for lunch and got the buffalo chicken sandwich and the bacon and blue fries both were on point! The fries were fresh super crispy like they just came out of the fryer. Same with the chicken crunchy outside juicy inside. You could tell the ingredients were good quality and everything was made with care. Solid meal all around!

I recently moved away from Portland, but was just up the road from Flew the Coop for the three years I was in town. They quickly became one of my favorite carts in the area. Their spicy chicken sandwiches were to die for and the waffle fries were always a happy addition if I felt like splurging. Definitely give them a try if you swing by the Barley Pod.
