Yet another bar in Portland that thinks that when you open a tab authorizes your card for $20. I've been seeing this more and more and I've gone into bars Simply to get a beer or two and I open a tab and suddenly I have a $30 authorization hold on my account plus whatever they're charging me. Banks are giving businesses like this incentives to participate in this unbelievable BS. Do not open tabs anymore! Pay as you go!

Iconic Portland dive that was worth a quick visit.
Ordered a drink inside with a stand-offish bartender that really seemed to hate her life or her job.
Two non alcoholic beer options for $5 each seemed steep.
Great alcoholic draft options though.
An ok amount of seating for a Saturday night after midnight with some covered options.
Vending machines were hilarious - truths and dare cards, tarot cards, vampire teeth.
Had a couple of tots from my friends order and they were delectable.

Justice for long gray hair bartender man. He was lovely, we only ordered two drinks and four jello shots but we kept the tab open until we were ready to leave AND tipped him(as you should). Minor issue, as a floridian, there was a severe lack of florida vibes

what a horrible experience. all staff is incredibly rude and unmannered, with exception to female bartenders. my friend was cut off after his very first drink for not tipping. secondly, no smoking signs are in the patio, so we went by the fence to smoke. some rude white kid snatched my drink (didn’t even appear he worked there) and crinkled it without explanation. “can’t have your drink outside” ok…. try to go back in and grab my wallet, to which the exact replica of David Cross, tell me im “not allowed back inside because I brought a drink outside.” i’ve never heard of that, also he could’ve warned me since I walked right past him to join my friends while they smoked (we thought we were being respectful by smoking outside) not a warning, not a helpful conversation, not a single manner in sight. screw this bar don’t come here it’s unbelievable how it’s operated. they were extremely racist to my friend that got cut off for “not tipping”

I’ve truly never experienced anything like this before. After reading other reviews, it seems there’s a recurring issue with this specific employee’s behavior — particularly the bartender with long grey “Jesus” hair.
I had closed out an $8 cider tab and didn’t leave a tip at that point because my friends and I weren’t sure whether we’d be staying or heading elsewhere. My intention was to order more drinks and food as the night went on and then tip accordingly. I didn’t think it was a big deal — especially since the service so far hadn’t warranted anything exceptional.
For context, I don’t go out to bars often, and I’m not fully up to speed on typical “bar etiquette” regarding tipping. I also usually draw a line through the tip section when closing a tab to avoid being overcharged — I’ve unfortunately had bad experiences in the past with people writing in their own tips.
When I later tried to order another drink, the bartender abruptly told me, “I’m not serving you anymore.” I was honestly confused and asked, “Sorry? I’m confused?” He responded with, “You drew a line over the tip section — that’s not how it works.”
I tried to explain that I intended to continue ordering throughout the night and just wasn’t finished yet — closing that tab didn’t mean I was done for the night. He cut me off and said, “This conversation is over.”
At that point, I left and tried to make the most of the night regardless. I ended up meeting some really great people, which was a nice silver lining.
That said, I definitely won’t be returning to this place — not unless there’s a serious change in staff or management. It’s disappointing that on an already rough day, this interaction made things worse.
Very rude bartender (long hair blonde male discussed in several other reviews), get over yourself and get literally any other job, go stock some shelves somewhere and get away from people

Had a terrible experience at this usually fun bar, due to this white long haired mail who complained about me ordering beer for my friends and paying as I go. He not only harassed me for paying as I go but then kicked me and my friends out while taking our drinks I PAYED FOR. He is awful and I will never go back or recommend this play because of this bartender

This specific bartender goul got upset because me and my friend got another beer after closing out, complained about how we were getting another beer, mentioned how he won't process our card again for another order, got upset about how we didnt tip him after his attitude continued to stare at us outside the doorway from his bar and I pointed at him he started frantically sprinting to us to take our beer that we just paid for and then proceed to kick us out of the bar. I've been here plenty of times no issue. This bartender is ruining their business. Wish I could rate zero stars specifically for the long hair grey man that's filled to the birm with his ego
Bartender was incredibly rude to everyone around us while we waited to be served. Really rubbed us the wrong way and us and the other people took our business down the street to other bars that were much more attentive and kind.

My fave bar in Portland! The vibes are immaculate. Good beer, food, pinball, people and the best dogs you'll ever meet. Have spent many a evening here and it's always a good time

Bartender was so rude I thought she was joking at first. Kind of embarrassing considering I always tell my friends how chill this place is

Trout BLT? Superb. Bartenders' mental health? Hit or miss. If they're male and long-haired, keep good-natured humor to yourself or prepare for a hot-mess interaction.

Upmost disrespectful. The staff gang up on you and kick you out for no reason. The new young kid on shift even went as far as putting hands on me to push me out, getting in my face laughing and mocking me. I am a respectful, giving and loving, lesbian military woman. All men were working. You can be as respectful as you want, and that does not get reciprocated. This US Navy veteran will take their family elsewhere that is worthy for my family's service and tips. The Florida Room staff will not treat me nor my wife that way again! They even had the audacity to charge an illegal tip. Thankfully, our bank handled that part. Do you think anyone would tip to be assaulted during a dinner date?!? Definitely not.

The Florida Room? Definitely a misnomer since there’s nothing Florida about this place. However, drinks are solid and it has a nice outdoor patio with lots of seating. And billiards plus pinball tables inside. Didn’t try the noms.
