REALLY disappointing recent experience with the food here. I've been going to various Fried Egg locations basically since they opened, and have always loved the food. But this makes me tentative to return to this location ever again. The sausage was burnt to a crisp, egg was not well made, and the sourdough was soft and almost cold. The "bowl" we ordered was literally a collection of sides thrown on top of each other. I expect more from Denny's let alone Fried Egg... hope this was a one time experience or a bad day, but I'm not willing to risk it at this price point. I expect better from this brand. And the Portland food scene certainly demands better than this.Again, I genuinely hope this was a bad experience, because I've had great experiences in the past. But the mind tends to remember the bad over the good.

Cute ambience. Food mediocre. Pesto egg sandwich was great. The length of time it takes to get your sandwich is ridiculous! Over 30 minutes.I highly recommend you keep your restroom to customers only. Some guy came off the street and was in there for 40 minutes!!

I've been a long-time customer here since moving to the area. It's a wonderful little shop. I decided to try something new today and the person who took my order over the phone (Colin, I believe??) was very nice and helped me find something I'd like. The shop itself is a little too small and loud for me to want to eat in, but I keep coming back for the nice staff and tasty sandwiches :)

Our favorite place in town to get a breakfast sandwich! I love getting the burrito with black beans.

My sandwich was swiftly. To come with 2 pieces of sausage. I wanted to add bacon. It ended up only coming with bacon sausage. It was a little disappointed, went to the front to bring it to their attention. But they didn't seem very much like they cared and kind of had a bad attitude which was very poor customer service in my opinion, and I will not be returning to this location

I heard this is a must when visiting Portland, and compared to most breakfast options around this was mostly good advice. However as someone who loves well crafted breakfasts this did neither blow my mind nor was it anything special from my experience. It‘s relatively basic but still good for what it is and for sure hits the spot!

Very tasty food but the sausage is so insanely greasy it made the bread all soggy and I couldn’t finish it cause of all the grease. I don’t usually leave reviews I just hope they can fix this so I can fully enjoy their food.

Best to order ahead!! This place gets packed, and for good reason. Their breakfast sandwiches are amazing. So amazing that I literally flew across the country with one, because my partner back at home was craving it!

Cannot even begin to understand the popularity and good reviews for this place. Went in at 10am on a Friday. Nobody in line ahead of us. Ordered two sandwiches and paid $26 for them. Then waited over 30 minutes while two previous sandwiches were made and two to go orders. When the meal arrived one order was missing half the ingredients but there was no way I was going to wait for a remake. Bread was dry. Sandwich was tiny. Two pieces of toast, two pieces of bacon, one fried egg, slice of cheese and some aioli for $10 is a ripoff. The other sandwich was their Ruben with some poorly sliced mediocre pastrami that hardly covered the bread from edge to edge much less having more than one layer. My wife and I left feeling hungry and surprised. One of the very few bad food experiences since moving to Portland 6 months ago.

Perfectly toasted sourdough breakfast sandwich. I’m not usually big on eating a sandwich with eggs in it but this was very good and I would definitely eat again. I had Smells Like Protein Spirit and I love the hash bite. The service was good but I only gave 4 stars because it took awhile to get our food but understandable because it was very busy. Due to the location, it was difficult to find a parking space ( only street parking).
