Absolutely incredible food! The Big Breakfast was delightfully filling after a long workout and the Ubaby crepe's sweetness complimented it perfectly. Staff was great during a busy morning. In a monstrous sea of Portland's breakfast possibilities, I'm so glad I landed at this spot.

We were treated very rudely. We live in the neighborhood and have been frequenting this place before and after it changed hands to frog and snail, because my daughter loves crepes. My parents were in town and my daughter was excited to bring them here. There were 5 in our party. They told us that the only table that would accommodate us was taken upstairs in the back. There were many available tables inside, so we suggested splitting our party into two tables of 3 and 2. They said “no we don’t split parties”. (Not at all in a kind way - just really venomously). This didn’t make a lot of sense because two separate parties of 2 and 3 could have arrived and theoretically been seated, but there was no explanation given, just plain rudeness. It was pretty clear from the way they treated us that they didn’t want our business. (Maybe we rubbed them the wrong way, who knows) That’s fine. We won’t be back and will tell our friends and neighbors that the food isn’t worth the poor treatment. (The foods fine. Nothing special) —— and in response to the owner (what???) -they did not seat us. You must be thinking of a different party you were rude to. We got “have a nice day” in very mocking tone as we left. Good luck. Hope you understand that being courteous to your customers is kind of restaurant ownership 101. That fact that you can’t own up to your poor customer service and attempt to do better speaks volumes.

The food is delicious. We had both their French toast options and they were great. The wait to be seated is unnecessarily long especially because there were seats open, but it seemed like not enough staff to seat us. Would definitely come again though.

Super cute spot on Hawthorne in SE! Incredible crepes and friendly staff. Was greeted upon walking in and immediate sat.I got the Ubaby with strawberries and it was to die for! They recently updated their menu with a few new items like veggie biscuits and gravy, the early bird, crepe Benedict, crepe Montreal and a sweet ube crepe.Love the open kitchen and ambiance of the frog and snail decor throughout the restaurant! Was server by Maddy and they were prompt, attentive, and friendly! Thanks to cooks for a delicious meal✨

The crepes are incredible!! My only complaint is that I wish they were a little more filling for the price. So tasty though :)

I reviewed this place months ago because it was great! Had a wonderful time then, but I went back today and boy did that change! They hired a new cook and she is... just not good. Ordered "bacon, extra crispy" received raw underdone bacon, wobbly and still pink. Ordered a crepe and the crepe was gummy and raw still!! Took one bite and couldn't eat anymore, not just the gummy, undercooked batter but the apples were COLD. I'm guessing it was just stuff from the fridge thrown together. Presentation was nice tho! Too bad I couldn't eat it! My partner also got a crepe and he can stomach way more than me, but he only managed to choke down half since the strawberries had that taste food gets when it sits in the fridge next to something gross.I feel horrible not leaving a tip, as I always make a point to tip a lot, but I couldnt justify it when the waitress kind of brushed it off when I mentioned the food was undercooked. She made sure we paid the full 30$ before offering to "substitute" something while we were literally standing up to leave. Like? No I'm not gonna sit down and wait for more undercooked food, you already made me pay for raw bacon that I didnt touch. Won't be going back and I recommend you don't either til they can teach the chef to cook things all the way through!

This little crepe restaurant is amazing. If you have a chance stop in. The staff is wonderful and you feel at home the moment you step in.

This place was absolutely marvelous! Such a cute lil place. The service was nice; friendly and fast! The food came out hot and tasty. I can’t wait to come back here and try everything else! I was too hungry to take a picture but I got the French toast breakfast and it was one of the best French toast plates I’ve ever had! I love their vegetarian options and the diverse crepe menu they have! You will see me soon!

Ate lunch here today, the sausage was wonderful! Probably the best sausage I have ever had, actually. The French toast comes on extra thick slices! The atmosphere was very good as well, quiet and cozy. They were not playing any music and you can't hear any sounds from the kitchen, both of which are very nice things for having a good conversation with a friend.

Great ambiance, friendly, personable servers, exceptional crepes of multiple varieties. This is one of these kinda places that I really don’t want folks to know about but in these times, I think it appropriate to share. Dine in or out, take out is just as busy as walk in. Exceptional food, reasonable prices, a gem in the heart of the Hawthorne District. Take a date, come with friends, you won’t be disappointed. Chad, Sophia and crew are boss!!

I’ve only been twice, but I think about this food every day. Seriously the best food and service I’ve had since moving to Portland three years ago. This is where I take all my friends and family when they come to visit. Order take out if you must, but Frog and Snail is best enjoyed nestled inside the cafe on a rainy weekday. I hope Frog & Snail is here for the rest of time. ?

Amazing crepes! Highly recommend The German, and The Ham, Egg and Cheese!! Staff was friendly and helpful. Wait time was fast even for Saturday brunch. We will be back! ?

Cute little spot, the food and coffee were both good. I got a crepe benedict with ham and gruyere cooked into the center of the crepe which was excellent. Service and environment both nice. No complaints.

Arrived about 1:30 on a drizzly Portland Sunday afternoon. My two sons and I walked in with my nephew and asked for two tables—understanding they do not seat parties larger than four—but my sister was parking the car. I was hoping to seat my two college-aged sons and nephew together and my sister and I together. Before I could even pull up our covid cards to prove our vaccination statuses (as I had been warned I would need to show), the greeter says “We don’t take large parties because it’s too difficult on our kitchen.” Wow. Just say you don’t want my business. I’ve been thrilled loving Portland restaurants as kind, friendly, and delicious. Not so here. No offer for us to place a pick-up order. No suggestion half our party shop for a few minutes while the kitchen staff catches up. Felt completely snubbed and took my $100 order to Waffle Window across the street. It was wonderful. —Disappointed even the owner is happy to have potential new clientele snubbed. I travel. I review. Waffle window service was exemplary and the food was extraordinary. Love their savory and sweet options.
