Best bread ever on my carnita torta!! I love this place, it's cozy and has a nice vibe and atmosphere. The cocktails are good too.

No carne asada tortas on the menu, but this place is good! I dont typically go for pork, i prefer carne asada, but since i drove 15 minutes here without looking at the menu before hand i figured why not try something new. The service was great all around. $15 for a pork torta, ingredients were fresh, taste was good, wasnt too wet or mushy. I do wish they had a hot salsa or some jalapeños on the side and a little heavier on the avacado, maybe a small side of fries, but overall im very satisfied. I love trying new things and i would definitely come back but maybe order something else just to explore. The vegan torta really caught my eye so ill have that next time. Thank you for a good meal!

These what are the best tortas I have ever had in my life. The bread is perfect, the meat is juicy, and the cocktails are amazing. Definitely a must try.

Found a new favorite in Portland. Will be sure to visit and eat here every time we visit family in Portland. The food was awesome and the price point, service, atmosphere, etc. were on point!

Phenomenal service and incredible food, I don't want to recommend anything because then you won't get the fun of exploring the menu.

I LOVE Güero. Probably my favorite sandwich in Portland. The Desayuno is my go-to, but the Hamburguesa is also terrific. Definitely recommend to anyone curious about a torta or two.

Tortas are not my favorite but these are exceptional.
As a heavy meat eater I rarely order vegetarian/vegan items. But the Masa Y Papa is soooo dang good that's a vegetarian item I almost prefer over the meat options.

Whether you're ordering out or dining in. Guero is always a hit!

The restaurant has a beautiful interior/design but unfortunately the food just doesn't have a lot of flavor. It wasn't bad but it just didn't have the flavors you get with authentic Mexican food. The staff were really nice and the service was great!

Sooooooooo good. The horchata is great. I got a rum floater on it and next time will have it neat on the side because of how epic the drink is without it. Michelada, never disappoints. The salsa has the perfect amount of kick (for Portland 🙃) and they cut two sandwiches in half for us so we could share two tortas. The carnitas, well flavored and the texture you want that balances so well with the toppings. The Ahogada is heavy and well seasoned and the cilantro really adds the bright kick it needs. The staff was there and we were watched carefully without being interrupted often which felt good. Great neighborhood spot and for us was a sacred trek across the city. Enjoy!

Great place for a date or solo dinner. I ordered the burger and it was tender and delicious. The chips were fresh and the guacamole was smooth and flavorful. Highly recommend!

I’ve been going to Güero since it was a food cart up the street. The truth is that the tortas are ok, but the ambiance is great. As a Guadalajaran, I find the tortas dry. The ahogada in particular made me really sad. They don’t use traditional birote or a similar type of hard bread, there’s no refried beans to coat the bread, and it didn’t have nearly enough sauce (probably because this bread would get soggy). Many bites felt dry, which is the opposite experience an ahogada should provide. The best and most authentic item on the menu is the hamburguesa, and it’s the only item I would return for.
