Came here with my parents and we loved the food! We’re Habesha so we know how the food is suppose to be. This place is legit. Highly recommend!

The outside was uninviting and a bit scary, but don’t let that deter you. The food was delicious authentic Ethiopian dishes. The service was prompt and friendly. The cost was modest. If you’re in the area and want a somewhat exotic meal this is a great option. We had the 2 meat 3 veggie combo and it was a generous meal for the two of us.

Amazing Ethiopian cuisine, and stays open rather "late". I grew up around the corner from this place in the 80's-90's and I absolutely love what minority communities have done to uplift the area without any city planning, whatsoever. SUPPORT THIS!

Vegetarian options: Ask for Ethiopian cheese!

Astonishingly delicious food. Every bite was bright and rich. I left the place two hours ago, and the food is still all I can think about.

Great food, definitely a hidden gem. Just make sure you turn slowly into the place as if a bit hidden. First time eating Ethiopian food!

Look, my wife and I have eaten at every Ethiopian restaurant in Portland. Heck, we've eaten at quite a few Ethio spots internationally. There are a couple stand outs, but Gebeta is THE BEST WE'VE EVER HAD. Seriously I don't know what magic they put in the food but the herb and spice blends pop with the other flavors like no other Ethiopian food I've ever eaten before.
It's also in a bizzarre location for a restaurant, what seems to be an office building. That just adds to the charm for me! Go and find just how good Ethiopian food can be.

We tried the seneg karia and the meat and veg combo with lentils, split peas, tikil gomen, chicken, and lamb tibs. Everything was great except the lamb tibs, which were a bit tough. If you’re a fan of spicy food, definitely try the seneg karia. The service was 5-star!

The food was absolutely incredible. We got the platter with a mix of veggie and meat options for $40 and 2 hungry people could barely finish it. We will be back for sure.
