This is by far the best Italian American restaurant in Portland! As a fellow east coast Italian transplant myself, Gino’s cooking reminds me of the dishes my Italian immigrant grandmother would make for me growing up. I fell in love the first time I came here and feel so fortunate to live in the same neighborhood. Long live Gino’s!

Wonderful experience. The food was fantastic (and as leftovers!). I did 20 years in restaurants....the vibe here was great. I love looking around the restaurant, seeing the staff smiling when interacting with one another. Cooks were smiling and enjoying their job while preparing delicious food, the plating was great, the timing was great. Our server was helpful, providing suggestions when my Libra couldn't decide on which dessert. I will absolutely be back, I've already recommended this spot to friends and coworkers. This is how food and service should be done

Love Gino's Bolongnese, it is perfection in my book. Wine selection is curated so that you really can't go wrong, whatever you choose. My partner always opts for the cioppino or mussels and he's never disappointed with the quality and freshness of his dish. Solid choice for a nice night out when you want an elevated experience and excellent Italian food

Lovely cosy-feeling Italian place. Food and wine were great. Felt a tiny bit rushed through our reservation because they were very busy. Definitely going back, will probably try for a less busy time during the week so we can relax more.

We were greeted by a polite attendant who was working alone and was probably the owner. We ended up ordering two lamb gyros and some samosas. Our eyes popped when we saw the gigantic portion size. One gyro could easy feed two people. Recommend getting the spicy sauce which was more flavorful than hot! I The samosas were light.flaky and delicious. Our meal was so satisfying to our taste buds. Highly recommended this hidden gem in Portland. We’ll be back!

I really loved Gino's. It reminded me of the places I used to go to in Little Italy in Chicago. The service was great. They were always around, but not in your face. The interior felt very comforting, like your friend's grandma's house! The mussels were good, as was the Ceasar salad, but the meatballs were amazing. I felt like I was a kid again. The pesto ravioli was not bad. Grandma Jeans pasta dish again reminded me of a friend's house on Sunday or some small Italian place with a pot just cooking away all day. Pure comfort food. The Tiramisu was great, but the Panna Cotta was one of the best desserts I've had this year. Might be one of the best dishes I've had this year... Tiramisu is one of my favorite desserts, but their Panna Cotta almost made me forget it existed! And the Tiramisu is really good! Oh and the house wine options were delicious!
