Gino and I went back many years ago since I had a business across from Gino and also lived in the sweet neighborhood of Sellwood. Gino is a place where everybody know your names (like Cheer if you're a regular). The foods has been consistently very good. They are very generous with their portion. All the servers are very friendly. The owner is super friendly. I do not need to brag about Gino. You need to come for yourself to experience the personal level of the service. These photos were the good old days. We dined and wine with our silent partner that never fail to show up. A perfect dated that eats whatever we ordered;). They're no longer with us. There were drink in Gino menu named after these two cats.

Spaghetti ai Funghi was so flavorful & delicious! Generous portion/leftovers for a 2nd meal. My husband and I shared a delicious Caesar salad. The pasta was incredibly good! This was our first time here, and we will definitely be back for fantastic Italian food!

Really, really good food, but it is on the pricier side, the upside is that everything comes in big portions; enough for a family of three. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Simply the most deliciously decadent pasta I have ever had! I only wish this place was not a hot spot for rich older men with no morals. I am SO glad I chase my own food and reviews because hands down the best pasta of my life like desert island food! Yum yum yum 10/10 get soup and dessert too! THE BEST ITALIAN IN TOWN. The food here absolutely will comfort any bad feelings you've had in your entire life. Carbonarra! If you like remaking authentic dishes with a twist you can reheat it and add cinnamon. ? let's fill Gino's with MORE people! Historic Sellwood is a great day trip and Gino's a great place to end it at. Wine and cocktail selection are large but I can't really speak to it.Vegetarian options: If you simply cannot eat animals they still have THE best food ever and lots of options!Parking: Parking is a little tricky next to the door cause they have a really nice new patio area with live music sometimes but there's ample parking on side streets-- one of a few neighborhoods still good for that as the inhabitants don't like "McMansions"

Check you credit card charges! This restaurant overcharged me on the tip. This is why you do not want to give your credit card to restaurants where they take your card away. Once in their backroom, they can change the amount to whatever they want. I was overcharged by $8 on 3/6/1924 at Gino's. This happens to me so much that I have track all restaurants charges where they want a paper written tip. I have saved hundreds of dollars each year due to restaurants like Gino's overcharging me on tips. I implore everyone to track your written tips and if they are wrong, please dispute this with your credit card provider. So far, all restaurants have made it right with me and I have saved $100's.

It pains me to give a lower rating, we normally love Gino’s, but we did not have a great experience tonight. We had a reservation and were seated promptly but it took a long time for our waitress to greet us and get our drink order. Our drinks came out quickly but we waited another 15-20 minutes to even place our order. In the meantime the food runners kept trying to bring us other table’s orders, despite the fact that we still had our menus in front of us. It just seemed like the service was in disarray. Our appetizer came out in a reasonable amount of time but our entrees didn’t come out until we had been at the restaurant for about an hour and 10-15 minutes. Our waitress didn’t ask us if we wanted any dessert or coffee at the end of our meal. It was my partners birthday and we had discussed splitting a dessert but she brought out the check and at that point we had been there for so long we just wanted to go home. The service is usually so friendly and consistent, even when they are busy, that tonight really stuck out as a poor experience. The food was all tasty but the service and poor timing from the kitchen put a damper on our whole evening.
