Oy.
So I stopped by at 1:56 and walked in. Not quite open yet as they open at 2:00. Sat quietly at the bar waiting to pick up some beer to go. This obviously pissed off the blond that came out to chastise me for coming in while they were closed. I asked if she would like me to wait outside until they were ready and this seemed to annoy her more as she went outside to sweep leaves. I just turned and left as she/they obviously saw me as an inconvenience….

Gluten-free beer and a very nice atmosphere where you can hear each other speak, with nice music. Michaela was the most hospitable and patient bartender I’ve ever encountered. Give her a raise and a bonus for helping create a delightful and warm atmosphere that people will want to keep coming back to, especially on cold, rainy Portland nights.

We are not "gluten free," but had to stop by to try the brews to see what the hype was about. The brews we tried were pretty good and I couldn't really tell what the "gluten free" process does by taste alone. The brews were good enough that if you had to live "gluten free" this place would be heaven. Worth a tasting try anyway.

Went here a few years ago and it was delicious..food was great and there was a cobbler that was amazing. Now there's none of that. The food is something my girlfriend and I will easily forget, and there's no dessert options other than an entire cake that I didn't try because it was like $50.
There's no personal service, you have to scan a QR code to order online and they just bring it to you like a robot.
This was very disappointing for us both, to have lost a gluten free restaurant option. We will not be back.

Excellent service! Food is simple and amazing! 100% GF facility. Chicken is amazing! Filling and reasonable prices!

Hands down the BEST and SAFEST Celiac bar in the United States. You cannot even bring gluten in the building. Salvi makes INCREDIBLE pupusas, fish and chips, nachos, and chicken strips. Gloria brews the best beer, gf or not. Anna and Jesse always brings smiles to our faces.

I really miss Riker, the dog tho. He was always such a welcome surprise. I hope he rejoins the crew soon.

If you or someone you love used to love beer- and not just drinking it but hanging out at a brew pub and vibing- this place is for you. Staff is incredibly friendly, everything is gluten free and delicious. I’m not GF and I love eating here and drinking the beer. They rotate flavors regularly on tap and the can cooler often has stuff they no longer put on tap. They also have non-alcoholic offerings, if you just want to hang with friends.
AND THE FOOD! SalviPDX has gf fried chicken, and fries-and plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. I love the bean and cheese pupusas with an egg on top ?. (There owner and staff are also amazing)

As someone coming from the East Coast, where most people question what gluten even is, this place made my heart sigh. I have been missing beer something fierce and I was not only able to taste great beer but I was in even greater company with Anna! I felt like I was talking to a life long friend. I can’t wait to come back to the west coast to visit again. Even more so, I can’t wait to figure out how to get this beer to Raleigh North Carolina

The best music spot if you love 90’s what a nice vibe. Tasty food and beer. Safe place for all. Will definitely be back on the SE side

Fantastic food! We loved this gastropub. I highly recommend it, even if you are not gluten free. I'm the only gluten free person and everyone at our table enjoyed the food. The root beer is also excellent.

Welcome to the Junkyard

Wonderful food, decent beer, rustic atmosphere. My partner is gluten free so just the fact that everything at Ground Breaker is GF meant we had to check it out.We had a flight of beer, tried a Papusa, and had chicken strips and fish and chips. The food was top notch, all hot and very fresh. So good! And the beer was fun to try, but just not to my preference. Still fine. The reason for 4 over 5 stars is that I like a little more service. This place is minimal, you need a phone to order... no menus, you scan the QR code. And you gotta go to the bar to order a beer. Bus your own table. Pay on your phone. Get your own fork and napkins, and water. The employees were nice. Just be ready for this kind of do it yourself set up when you go.

Chilaquiles were life-changing and the pupusas were very very good.

The drinks, food, and staff are always great. SalviPDX is on-site for delicious GF food with vegan options. Few ciders and NA drinks as well.
