I ordered the chicken shawarma, and it was incredible!! The portion was quite large, so I was able to enjoy leftovers the next day. The fries were also delicious! I would avoid the baklava as it is not particularly good. The truck was being run by one person when I was there, and I was impressed by the speed and quality of his service. The atmosphere was not great, mostly due to it being located in downtown Portland which can be sketchy.

DELICOUS middle eastern food. I had the chicken shawarma and it was very well spiced and a little greasy and hit the spot perfectly! Wait time was a little longer than i'd like but that was because it was late and there was only one guy manning the stand (who was very polite). Make sure to get the $3 Baklava too! Its a steal!

With so many choices of food trucks along this street, it’s tough to choose. I’m glad I chose Gyro Place! The gentleman who took my order was super friendly and the food came out quickly. I ordered the Mezza Plate and OH MY! It was DELICIOUS!! Falafel can sometimes be dry and this absolutely wasn’t! Cooked to perfection! The hummus, pita and grape leaves were packed with flavor! I will be dreaming of this food for many months to come!

Vegetarian options: The Mezza Plate is a great choice if you’re vegetarian!

Delicious baklava!

I recently visited this food truck and had an amazing experience! The gyro was absolutely delicious, packed with flavorful and fresh ingredients. To top it off, the guy who attended the truck was incredibly friendly and made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend this food truck for anyone looking for a tasty meal and great service!

We arrived in Portland after a VERY long night of travel and I was craving Gyros, so I ordered TWO. Figured the hubby deserved one too.
I was devastated to find only 1 in the Grubhub bag the delivery driver gave us.
It's after midnight and I'm not about to wait for another delivery.
The Gyro was AMAZING, but, sadly, 5* isn't a thing since our order was only 1/2 there.

It has become difficult to find a good lunch deal at the downtown food carts post pandemic. Look no further! The lunch special Lamb Gyro, currently $6.95 is a steal. It is artfully assembled with plenty of tender lamb, crispy veg and just the right amount and distribution of sauces. The portion size is adequate for all but the most voracious eaters.
