First time in Portland and the Hyatt House was an excellent choice of hotel for me.The location by the River was relaxing, as well as, the well maintained pool. Very friendly and helpful staff, this hotel has it all, a nice hot breakfast, a Bar, a pool and is in a great location. Would stay again!

Absolutely superb. Wen 3 times in July accompanying a friend with multiple surgeries at OHSU. Cannot say enough about how accommodating and pleasant Hyatt House was. Kye was terrific and so were the staff all around. Had one of the best whiskey sours I have ever had- thank you Craig!!

Hyatt House has been my half time home for the last 6 months. I truly feel like it's home after working too many hours for too many days! The staff are awesome! I love having the gym and pool available and breakfast is a treat after an early morning workout.

Fortunately the Assistant Manger, Kye Bolen was on hand to help us make our reservations, he is definitely an asset to the Hyatt Chain. I had out of town guests visiting and I wanted to make it special for them. Their room was an absolute delight with a view of the water, they could not have been more delighted. The room was clean, quiet and inviting. The location of this hotel is excellent with mass transit just out your door. Breakfast was good and varied. Definitely at the top of the list for hotels in Portland.

I came in early and it was easy to store my bag and get to my meeting; at my break I was able to check in early and get settled into my room; the front desk staff was wonderful, smiling and willing to help in any way they could

I love Hyatt House. They need more locations everywhere. Service was great. Breakfast was tasty. Rooms were clean and spacious. Beds were so comfortable to sleep in. Only downside was $45 valet parking but we managed to find an overnight garage down the street for $24 overnight. Location is not central to everything but train stops right in front of the hotel for easy access. Also, it felt safe walking around. Didn’t see any druggies or transients anywhere nearby.

We came to town to visit family and have a home base to see the city on our own. It was a great success and we'll be looking to stay here next time. I also love that they had vegan options available at breakfast.

Very dirty room and hallway. I would think twice about staying at the Hyatt House. I was a returning customer, probably not in the future. Parking sucks and very expensive for valet parking. Not worth the cost of staying at the Hyatt House.
From valet service to the front desk, house keeping, bell hop service, and the security staff, truly made my experience pleasant and comfortable. All the employees I encountered exceeded my expectations.

We stayed here in a double queen bedroom suite with a living room. For a family of 5 and a dog, it worked great. Street car is right across the street for transportation into the PSU and the Pearl District. Everything was great stay-wise, a little noisy - but you're in a city. My only surprise was the $45/night valet parking. It ended up working out fine, but had we brought our nicer vehicle or had a roof top carrier - it would have been a bit of a conflict. Something to be aware of. That said, once you are there, get a day pass to the public transit - so convenient.

The staff was friendly and helpful. We were greeted with a smile and given detailed instructions about parking our car near the hotel. This hotel is in a great location, and provides very comfortable accommodations. Great breakfast. Only detractor was the occasional street/ Light rail noise from outside the building.

bad experience with the parking in the hotel, I left the car for 10 minutes while downloading and got a ticket, and the response from the people at the front desk is that they could not help, even though I was outside the hotel

I've stayed at a lot Hyatt Hotels, and for good reason. This one met all of the normal expectations, however the parking situation should be addressed. It is valet only and $45/night. I was aware of this before my stay, but the problem was that it took 20 minutes or more many times to receive the car after request, sometimes up to over 30 minutes. And it's noteworthy to point out that these were not peak times where a longer wait would be expected. Other than that, I enjoyed the stay and the area for the price point. Right next to the Riverwalk and freeways. Rooms were nice and the other hotel amenities were great
