Hands down the best sushi in Alberta/ NE Portland area. And for the price, one of my favorite omakase boxes in town, and consistently deliciousfreshfish. Definitely recommend Hana Sushi.

Service wasn't excellent but then again, only one person was covering the entire restaurant. Food was really delicious. Prices were a bit high, but if it's an occasion to celebrate, it's worth it.

Arrived there on a Monday evening.
About 7 other people there so it wasn't too busy.
It was like a sauna in there! Very hot and no fans to assist with the heat. We waited around 10 minutes and still didn't even get some ice water. We didn't get checked in once nor were explained that they were short staffed so it might take some. Good customer service also
entails effective communication. Let your customers know it's going to take a while. Not bringing ice water as soon as we sat down is a cardinal sin. We never did receive hydration nor a check-in.
It's a shame because the place looked great!

My favorite sit-down sushi spot on Alberta. If you get the Alberta bento box with some miso on the side, it is enough for a light lunch for two.
They seem to take great care in preparing their fish, and while I do enjoy stopping here every now and again, it is a little on the spendy side. Hey, I guess that is just sit-down sushi restaurants for ya.

Amazing local sushi place! Casual and delicious and cute inside. We got some rolls to-go on a Saturday and they just hit the spot. Excellent and fresh. The shrimp tempura was amazing. A little higher on the price side for this mid range tier but it’s worth the value. The people working were so kind and just lovely to chat with. This is my new go to sushi restaurant.

Hana Japanese Bistro offers great quality sushi and a wonderful environment. When I went, the sever was quite busy but still managed to maintain great service, ensuring our drinks and food were good and that the climate was comfortable, even going to set up an air conditioner nearby. I had the salmon avocado roll and chicken karaage. Both were fresh and delicious, and clearly used high quality ingredients. Overall, Hana Japanese Bistro provided a quality time, with great food, great service, and a nice atmosphere.
In addition, Hana is open for takeout only on certain days where they are otherwise closed for in-person dining, including at least Wednesday.
Wheelchair accessibility: The first floor is fully wheelchair accessible.

Not a super fancy Japanese restaurant you’d pay an arm and a leg, but despite that, the chef did an exceptional job for the omakase.
Uni is often hit or miss, it was fantastic here. It’s fresh, no fishy smell, creamy and rich. The scallop was great too. Ootoro is a little mid but it’s completely on standard for what I paid for.
Server was lovely.
