This is a real gem of a joint. Good music, food from the kitchen or from Beto's taco cart is always a delicious treat. Often they have live music, and a fun karaoke night on Sundays. I was lucky to catch the debut performance of the St. Johns Yacht Club duo.

We had sooo much fun here. Staff was personable, drinks were delicious. it just happened to be taco Tuesday and they had a great deal running with the taco truck next door. I should have ordered like 12 of them. Instead, I only got two and then went home and seriously regretted my life choices. Definitely going back!

This isn't really Havalina's fault, but since the only food available is from the taco truck outside, I will mention it. The atmosphere was fine, the service was good, but the food was not so good. Bland, over Americanized Mexican food should not be a thing in Portland. There are too many great Mexican restaurants serving delicious authentic food.

We come every week for their amazing Taco Tuesday night! They partner with Betos, so you can get the best tacos and burritos to go along with the amazing drinks. The staff is all amazing and so welcoming, they have a lovely outdoor patio, AND they have live music! A must visit in St. John’s!

Havelina is such a wonderful gem of a cocktail bar—the performance space is unlike any I’ve ever seen. It has a very Tiny Desk feel to it. I have never had a bad drink or a bad bit of service at Havelina, and it is one of the only spaces I have ever seen where you can experience so much music for FREE! You can save all your cover fee cash to support the bands you’re enjoying.
In my mind, Havelina is an essential St. John’s third place and I am ever grateful for its existence. Try one of their signature cocktails while hearing a band you’ve never heard of play you to cloud nine and you’ll see what I mean
