Honey Butter Country Fare

This is a difficult review to write. On the one hand, the honey buttered corndog was really outstanding, absolutely delightful. $8.50 for a corndog is a lot of money, but when I learned my partner paid a whopping $12 for the veggie corn dog version, I was in disbelief. And the kicker is that they didn't use any of the good veggie dog options out there, it's just a chunk of tofu. No matter how good that breading is, that price is outrageous.

And now onto the jo jos... $7 for FIVE jo jos. Yes they are pretty big, but they're not special enough to warrant that kind of price tag. Especially considering how undercooked and underwhelming the flavor is.

The funnal cake was quite nice and felt like the best value item we had. Would dwfinitely have that again.

Holy godDAMN, these corn dogs are legit!! Just ate the Weiner Week special and, while the toppings were terrific, the corn dog itself was something I may literally write home about. The batter was so crunchy and delicious! I polled my household and we are all in agreement: this is the best corn dog any of us have ever eaten. Damn. I gotta go tell everybody I know.

Today, I finally got to fulfill my childhood fantasy of tasting Charlie Brown’s wiener, and though it was a bit awkward to do as a 50-year-old adult it was well worth the wait!
Peanut butter and garlic-onion chili oil is my new favorite condiment and I can’t figure out how they make the peanut butter sauce, but it’s amazing !!

Y'all the vegan corndog is not a vegan hotdog fried up in batter. It is a stick of fried tofu in batter.
The batter is tasty but its not a vegan corn dog.
Just so you aren't fooled like I was.

I've been here twice and I love unhealthy, deep fried vegan options as much as anyone, but I feel like the flavors should be worth the calories and the food here was just pretty good.

The benchmark to which all corndogs will be measured and will fail to measure up. Just get a classic corn dog. One corndog is almost a meal. Maybe share a side. Or dessert.

The food is absolutely wonderful. It's all gluten free so it's safe for celiacs. Love the staff. Would like to see them open a small cafe somewhere.

This place is amazing, especially for anyone with dietary restrictions! The corn dogs are so delicious as are the funnel cakes. And the people who work here are very kind, excellent customer service. Highly recommended!

Ever since finding out HBCF exists this has been my go to “treat yourself” spot. My regular order is a cinnamon sugar funnel cake for myself and my partner but I live for the seasonal funnel cakes with fruit compotes the best! Not to mention the delicious gluten free dairy free corn dogs that help satisfy that craving whenever it comes up 😋

All your favorites from the country fair veganized! This isn't a fully vegan establishment but they are very vegan friendly. Their vegan corn dogs are out of this world!! Extremely customizable menu-- lots of sauces and toppings to choose from. Everything is delicious!! They have funnel cakes too!
