You know those tasty fair foods that are DEFINITELY not health food but are SO delicious? Now picture you have celiac and haven’t had any of that for ages. My hopes were high as my daughter and I drove the traffic ridden way there.
Honey Butter did NOT disappoint. We were both astounded at the deliciousness. Since we live quite a distance we decided to try and share anything we were interested in…a classic corn dog, a Golden Girl, a piece of their fried chicken with fries, some funnel cake and a gluten free oreo. It was all amazing. My daughter is not celiac so she’s got more comparison ability to wheat-infested alternative and we were both saying “oh my god this is so delicious” more times than we could count. It was a bit two much for the two of us to eat but we’ll definitely eat the leftovers. On our way out we chatted with another group about how fantastic it all was. Definitely worth the drive, we’ll be coming back.

We finally made it here for the first time. The food was excellent, but it's all fried, so don't order too much. I loved the fried artichokes, and the funnel cake was a great GF take on an east coast favorite.
Fair Style. Amazing fried chicken, corn dogs and funnel cakes. Arbor Beer Lodge has drinks and indoor seating.
Yeaaahhhh so these guys definitely gave me a beef corn dog when I ordered a vegan one and then lied when I asked them about it. My vegan stomach, however, does not lie. Least y’all could’ve done was own up to your mistake and refund my money because now I have at least a week of indigestion and pain ahead of me.
Their website says that vegan corn dogs are marked with a black dot on the stick. Guy I spoke with said that sometimes they forget to dot the sticks and that they have all the different kinds of dogs sitting next to each other (???????????? weird choice guys) and that the dog I showed him looked like a Better Balance dog (it did not and it also smelled like beef). Really sus behavior coming out of this truck. Do not recommend. I gotta just stop trusting places that offer vegan and meat options on the same menu.

This is my Saturday Self Care ritual: I wake up, havet coffee and do a few little chores, then walk from my home in the Boise neighborhood with my 12 year old dog Riker to Honey Butter. I used to walk further when they were at their last location, because honestly (I would walk 500 hundred miles and IIIII would walk 500 more) it's so special to eat these amazing treats so lovingly made.
Maybe this isn't something special to folks who are used to having anything and everything. Maybe they're jaded by life and need to go on an 18 year elimination diet and roll the dice trusting total strangers when they want to feel like a regular person getting to enjoy whatever food claims to be gluten free. Maybe. Or maybe, this is one of the best things in Portland and we are all so lucky to have a spot we can walk to before work to enjoy crispy, juicy, 100% safe gluten free food that won't make us sad later and makes us incredibly happy to be alive in 2026, in Portland.
Maybe ❤️

It's hard to find really good gluten free food, but especially fried stuff. This food is fantastic! The breading on the chicken was perfectly crisp and didn't fall off. The funnel cake was phenomenal! It was slightly more dense than a regular one, but the outside was crispy, the inside was fluffy. It wasn't dry or crumbly at all. If you're GF and craving a fried treat this is the place.

I don’t remember the last time I could enjoy treats like fried chicken or funnel cakes. Honey Butter Country Fare nailed both!
The food was delicious and didn’t taste “gluten free.” We’re visiting from out of town, so now I can look forward to a trip to Honey Butter Country Fare the next time I come back to town.
Highly recommend!

I usually get delivered food from here, but a solid option for gluten free vegan corn dogs, battered fries, and funnel cake. A deep fried dream! If you're craving a vegan donut, try a funnel cake- a great stand in! Good choice of vegan hot dogs too, prices are decent too. My only complaint is the deep fried tofu isn't brined, or seasoned enough, when I tried it. Mind you, all you really need to fill up is the corn dog & fries. Good job y'all!👏💖✌️

Omg - if you are gf (or even if you aren't) and you miss fair food , get yourself here asap!! So good. We sampled honey corn dog, fried artichokes and I positively devoured the pumpkin funnel cake!! I do not usually eat fried foods, sugar and refined carbs but I was in town looking for something gf and easy and wow oh wow. Glad I don't live close to this so it can be a very infrequent but awesome treat. Portland you do gluten free better than Seattle!!! Go Sounders!!

As a celiac girlie, this place is a DREAM 😍 the food was delicious (corn dog, fries and funnel cake), even having a line the wait time wasn't too bad and the customer service was friendly and informative. Will be returning when I'm back in the area!
