Better than expected
I used to eat here before every flight. The place has gone down hill. To describe the breakfast. As mediocre would be too generous. I ordered the chorizo tater tots breakfast and it's a plate of tater tots with no chorizo and some unmelted shredded cheese. My wife's breakfast was just as bad. The service was rather blunt and not great. I won't be going back.
Unfortunately my server (Daniel) was incredibly passive aggressive and rude, we followed the instructions on the table, but then he came to cash us out and kept repeating over and over the card wasn’t settled, kinda just saying it at us from over by the computer. None of us had even finished our drinks, we had just got them. He told me friend to go sit down and order like normal when she walked up to get service. Then came over to see if we understood the instructions and had another staff member come and explain it (they were calmer and nicer). Totally understand we all have bad days, customer service is hard, but really rude service.
Would not recommend trying out this one due to staff.
They were out of several things and the beer menu didn’t reflect what they actually had. Beer was pretty flat so not sure if that’s typical.
Didn’t end up ordering due to things being sold out.
Server was nice and tried to offer alternatives.
We ate here as a last resort with minimal time before boarding our plane, it's not someplace I would have picked with other options available. Like most airport restaurants, the selection was minimal and everything was overpriced for what it was. The food was decent and creative, not horribly disappointing. Didn't try the beer which I imagine is one of the place's selling points.
I was leaving someone special that I wouldn't see for a long time and was fighting back tears. The waitress was really cool, the food was good, the beer was great, thank you.
Phenomenally bad. I truly resent this place.
And it’s incredible how much bad service can just derail an otherwise enjoyable meal. Food was good, I had the breakfast burrito, I’ve had it before, and it’s well stuffed and tasty. Shoot, even ordered a cocktail and it was delicious.
But this operation is just so aggressively and senselessly apathetic and lazy. When I walked in, there were maybe 5 patrons and maybe 10 observable workers. First, no one acknowledged me for 15 minutes. No water, no greeting. Cool, I can figure out the QR code and mobile ordering. Didn’t work - wouldn’t allow me to process the order. So I then had to pin down an employee, who then looked at me with the most stupid and confused blank stare.
Got my food and drink, really enjoyed it. Finished and had to bounce. My gal was MIA, so, asked someone else to tender me out. Same, confused response. I then saw what I imagine was some SSP America big wig doing his rounds. So I approached him, interrupted his trash conversation with one of his employees and told him to find me somebody to take my payment.
SSP America has a choke hold on most airports and can get away with this sort of nonsense.
Just, know what you’re getting yourself into here.
They advertise multiple non alcoholic beers on the menu and online but when you actually get there they don't have any available.
Absolutely loved the convenience! I ordered using the QR code, paid right from my phone, and didn’t even have to talk to a waiter. Fast, easy, and totally seamless—perfect for a quick and hassle-free dining experience. Highly recommend!

Service was absolutely horrendous. There were only a handful of people in the restaurant, but staff were too concerned with talking among themselves than helping customers. They then got annoyed with people understandably asking for service. Really terrible experience. Do better Hopworks…if you put your name on something try to have an ounce of quality control

Lesa V, at Hopworks Airport PDX is really an incredible bartender. She not only addresses each person as they approach the bar in a timely and very friendly manner, but makes and serves drinks in lightening time. She is friendly and super fun to interact with and watch with other customers. She deserves a LARGE raise!
Sat and waited (not that busy) almost 10 min to be able to order. Didn’t have what I wanted on the menu. Took offered substitute. Asked for water and a beer. 15 min. Beer comes. No water. Asked again. 10 min. Ordered poitain tots. Way salty. No water. Asked another person. They instructed the bartender to get me water. Eventually did. Waited forever for refill. Sat for almost 20 min trying to get him to bring me the check holding my card out. Brought me water after I said no thank you when paying ?? Just not quality. I’ll go elsewhere next time.

Food was good (breakfast burrito), service was good, but $18 for a Bailey’s & coffee is ridiculous.
