Consider In J COFFEE a sanctuary for those with elevated coffee palates & a place where standards soar higher than your morning energy boost.Things you should know:I. PARKINGYou'll have to rely on good ol' street parkingII. SERVICEThe baristas here are the Da Vincis of coffee, juggling orders like seasoned pros. I recently threw Court a barrage of drink requests, and they managed to promptly pump out the orders—while still managing to engage in a chat that would make even your therapist envious. And guess what? For my fellow chess enthusiasts, there's a board waiting for your move between sips.III. QUALITYYou want latte art? Check. Locally sourced pastries? Double check. Unique twists to your daily ritual? Just glance at their menu—seriously, the dirty chai latte just might rock your world.IV. CAPACITYSeating's tighter than your favorite skinny jeans, but fear not! The golden hour to come here is at 11 am—a sweet spot where you can order your bev without waiting in a line.

My new favorite, local coffee spot. Excellent coffee, amazing service, and a mind-blowing pastrami and egg breakfast sando. Every time I go I wanna stay and hang out but I only go on workdays so I gotta keep moving. Definitely worth going out of my way for.

drink: 3/5 service: 3.5/5 ambiance: 3/5 from the outside, In J Coffee is a hole in the wall! walking in, my immediate thoughts were: cozy, not a place to study, and a place where people in the neighborhood come for their daily coffee. In J seems to update their seasonal drinks frequently, so the sea salt cream latte and the dalgona latte are no longer available (from other photos on yelp) :(. my friend and i ordered the 12 oz Honey Rose Latte and the Maple Oat Latte hot for the latte art! we expected the honey rose latte to have the rose petals on top like the other photos here on yelp, but we did not receive any which was a bit saddening. drinks wise, we found the flavor to be just okay. the winner for us was the Maple Oat Latte, as we could taste hints of the maple syrup but not so much espresso for both of the drinks. the rose latte tasted like warm milk with a hint of rose, so we were a little disappointed with how the drinks tasted. we also noticed that there was only a 25¢ difference between 12 oz and 16 oz! but we realized that too late before ordering the smaller size. not sure if we would be back to this spot for coffee, but i would come back to check out their seasonal drinks if one were to catch my eye.

What a gem! I waited here for a tow truck to arrive for a couple of hours. The food was delicious and the breakfast sandwich was an incredible value. Great coffee and very kind staff.

Very yummy and smooth lattes, however if you need alternate milks it can get pricey quickly (that’s just the world in 2024). Today I had a citrus specialty latte that had bits of fruit(?) in the bottom and I couldn’t finish it, but my previous drinks have all been great!

Great coffee and bagel breakfast sandwiches. I especially enjoyed the latte that tastes like the rose Turkish delight-- Rose honey latte. So good that we had to stop by on our second PDX family trip and you know that there is no shortage of coffee shops here.

One cozy coffee shop , despite being small they make up for with great customer service and a unique inviting energy. definitely would recommend to people wanting a cozy study spot or a quiet area to draw or write.Wheelchair accessibility: Same floor entry no hassle is smaller in size but still accessible and friendly going and goes above and beyond to make everyone welcome.

Pretty good coffee. Got vegan maple syrup one, oat milk. Smooth and not bitter. Nice little hangout spots outside. Fall leaves falling make it more nice too.
