One of the best Indian restaurants in town. Awesome food and great service. Samosas tasted great, freshly made with not much oil, loved chicken tikka masala, naan, papad and nimbu paani.

I want to like it but the service is too slow to eat there in person and too unreliable to order to go. Half the time there will be an issue with your order, or when you arrive an hour after placing it they will tell you they just got it and to come back in another hour. It's just too much.

Very tasty northern Indian food! Try the vegetable pakora for sure. The owners are incredibly friendly and came out to chat with us. Solid menu with all the favorites -- we'll be back!

Ive been all over the world and everywhere I go I must try 1 or 2 India Restutants in the local area where ever I am. India Oven is thee number 1 best India Food that I've ever had !!!! The flavors are explosive !!!! We got the Onion Bhaji, Dahl Soup, and the Chicken Tiki Mala, Butter Chicken and Gosht Vindaloo. They have an amazing red hot sauce paste so front forget to ask for it. Everything is cooked Gresham from scratch and cooked to order. The owners are such sweet people and the service was very attentive !!!! If I could give them 10 stars I would !!!! Thanks India Ive for such a great experience !!!!Vegetarian options: There is lots of options for a Vegetarian.Parking: Parking is 100% free and there is plenty of parking on the street.Kid-friendliness: They are very friendly people here.Wheelchair accessibility: Its very easy to get inside with a wheel chair because its all at street level and there is no stairs.

I was referred to this place, and man, was my friend right! It's in Portland and it's cozy and smells amazing of yummy spices when you walk in.The folks who run it are super nice and make you feel welcome right away. And let me tell you, the food is something else! Every dish is packed with flavor and feels like it was made with love. The Chicken Tikka Masala a few others recommended blew my mind – that creamy sauce that's just so good. But it's not just about the food. It's the vibe in there. You end up chatting with other folks eating there like you're old pals.In a city with tons of places to eat, India Oven really stands out. Whether you're a foodie or just want a dang good meal, you gotta check this place out. Seriously, it's an experience you'll remember.

The quality remains consistently outstanding. I regularly make the 35-minute drive from Fairview just to indulge in their delectable cuisine. My usual order consists of Onion Bhaji, Naan, rice, and their renowned Chicken Tikka Masala (medium spice), all packed to-go.The owners are exceptionally warm and welcoming, having witnessed our daughters grow from infancy to 6 and 10 years old. Each dish is prepared fresh to order, ensuring a delightful culinary experience.Despite having sampled Indian cuisine nationwide, no eatery in Portland or beyond rivals the exquisite flavors found at India Oven. I've even visited their family's restaurant on the Vegas strip, which, while good, pales in comparison. The restaurant maintains impeccable cleanliness and ambiance, further enhancing the dining experience. If I were to choose a final meal, it would undoubtedly be their famous Chicken Tikka Masala (medium spice).Kid-friendliness: The owners are exceptionally warm and welcoming, having witnessed our daughters grow from infancy to 6 and 10 years old.

If I had an option of giving 0, I would have. I went with my family to have dinner at this restaurant today and the food took really long to cook. My kids got really hungry and upon asking the owner how long it would take, his response was very rude. When the food came, it was so awful and flavorless. I have been to several Indian restaurants as I’m an Indian and I’ve never eaten such a bad Indian food. There weren’t enough people to work and I had to serve water and utensils to my own family. When the time came for us to pay the bill, the owner DEMANDED a 20% tip and my wife said no because your service and food was really bad. He said “GET OUT OF MY RESTAURANT YOU CHEAP AND USELESS PEOPLE. I’M ASHAMED OF YOUR ORIGIN”. Then I said we are leaving but please don’t use those kind of words. He got angry and left the counter (his wife tried to stop him) and came towards me and stood right in front of me and said GET OUT RIGHT NOW. His wife also said the same. There were other people in the restaurant looking at the way he was talking and nodded their head. My family was a victim of verbal abuse. I would never recommend anyone to go to this hopeless restaurant.

Restaurant owner needs help. Very bad experience. Asked for TIP and we refused. Only 1 person to cook and 1 person to clean. Had to grab our own plates, glass, water. Food came so late as only 1 person to cook. Food was flavorless. Owner got so furious like a roaring lion. He said get out of the restaurant as I told him why we not going to TIP. He started shouting and also the kitchen lady. He came out from the counter and all ready to throw his arms but didn’t. Very unfriendly demeanor. He needs to understand meaning of TIP…it’s a gratitude and not a demand. Improve your food, employ people, check on customers while they eat if all is good, improve your order time, become more nice and polite then you REQUEST for TIP. If you are financially stressed please shut down your business.

They not worth any stars. Food was pathetic, only 1 lady in kitchen. Food came so late. The restaurant owner n the lady looks financially stressed. Asked for TIP and we refused as there was no gratitude and the owner became wild. Called us idiots, cheap people, yelled and said get out! We can only TIP if you deserve. It’s not a demand. Improve your wait time, hire more people. Only your wife in kitchen or whoever that lady is. Perhaps you don’t know how to treat humans thus no employees!

Best Indian food I've ever had. The restaurant is a humble place - Don't let the the look of the old restaurant fool you, this place is a gem and I've been eating there for years.

This is the best restaurant in Portland…dine in or take away! So many dishes are delicious and you must try the veggie samosas. Vegan or not—it’s for everyone. The same adorable women is always cooking and the same adorable man is working the front everytime. Highly recommend!! Such lovely food. Thank you both thank you!

I ordered takeout from here. It was 20$ for a 1.5 cup serving of chicken curry. Thats a small serving and a higher price compared to what I am accustomed to in Portland. I wouldn’t order from here again. The curry was salty and not very flavorful. The paratha was dense and not worth the calories.
