I love this place - There was a guy I hadn't seen before working tonight and he stopped midway through making my lamb curry to check and give me a spice/salt level test. The guy who I usually see did the same thing before I started regularly visiting and he got to know my levels - These guys care about making their customers into regulars and you can tell that they're proud of what they do. As expected with this level of personalized service and care, the food is out out of this world and is my go-to for a cold rainy day - Luckily we have lots of them! Get the lamb curry - The lamb chunks are spoon tender, the curry is spiced perfectly and the rice is fluffy and aromatic!

Walked up not knowing exactly what I was in the mood for. The owner went out of his way to bring me a sample of the Tikka Masala. I asked for the lamb with a side of garlic Naan. They made my food to my specific spice preference, and then had me try the food first to make sure I liked it before serving it to me. Amazing service and over the top QUALITY Indian food. MUST give them a try!!

This place knows how to cook. The lamb jalfrezi was absolutely amazing The lamb was cooked perfectly and so was the rice. The sauce was super flavorful and married well with the vegetables. I bought some naan as well which was done well. Also, I highly recommend the mango lassi is delicious.

As soon as you walk up you know this food cart is special. After ordering and waiting a short while, the person cooking the food flagged me over. They had a soon of the curry and asked me to taste to make sure it was the right spicy for me. Never had a food cart ever done this for me. I’m thoroughly impressed and will most definitely be back!

Food was very good. They asked what spice level I wanted. Friendly and good service. I eat here at least once a month. I have always had good food and service. The samosas and pakora are good and the dipping sauces are wonderful. The vegetarian food is great with the same depth of flavors as all the food I have enjoyed.
The chicken Tikka Masala was quite subpar. Overly sweet, almost cloyingly so, and the chicken was obviously purchased processed/pre-cooked. Dry/rubbery VERY REGULAR machine cut rectangles of chicken. I actually had to check if it was chicken, or a badly cooked carrot. I wonder if they're "dumbing down" their food for me, but considering I cook a MEAN "Chicken 65", and my Vindaloo is on point too, it worries me that this tubby white dude can cook Indian dishes as well/better than a Portland Food Cart!
They're new to the Flip Side carts, so maybe they need to get settled in?
I'll give them a couple weeks before trying again.
