I'm very sad that they have discontinued their hot breakfast menu. The biscuit sandwiches were the reason I went there.

Best coffee on Fremont

Love this coffee spot. Traveled from Chicago, tried a few coffee shops on our trip but this was by far our favorite. The breakfast sandwich and coffee were so fresh and delicious.

Jim and Patty’s is the best coffee shop in Portland! Besides fantastic coffee, it has delicious food and pastries too.

Love the Pig Newtons! Normally I get a Black Tiger shake, but I wanted something without caffeine so I had a berry smoothie! Got a Mommy Dearest cookie to take home as well!

The breakfast sandwich was excellent! Got the goat cheese breakfast sandwich on a biscuit with egg, bacon, and sausage! Paid extra for sausage but was worth it. The texture of that biscuit is one of the best biscuits I've ever had! Will definitely be back to try the biscuits and gravy and the other breakfast sandwiches!

Tipped before getting coffee by mistake, pretty bad service. They forgot/delayed a simple latte when the coffee shop was almost empty ..Ain’t a big deal but the first coffee on a Sunday morning sets the vibe, expecting to see more smiling faces and good service.

My favorite! Best coffee and goodies in Portland. Don't miss it.

Edit: since COVID Jim and Patty's isn't the same. It's still good, but every time I go in to the one on Fremont the bakery case is nearly empty. Huge bummer!

Vegetarian options: Breakfast Sammie with zucchini, spinach, tomato and egg. I just would recommend toasting the bread a bit longer.

Parking: All first come first serve. Side street pking.
