Absolutely fantastic food with a great price. The pancakes are THICK! The chicken fried steak was amazing too, perfect amount of gravy and spice. The atmosphere was so sweet and accommodating, a clear family business. I didn’t realize this at first, but for anybody reading this, they take CASH ONLY! so make sure you have enough! besides that, cant recommend this place enough :)

Good old classic American Diner! I had the Chicken Fried Steak with brown gravy and it was delicious! Prices are reasonable and just be aware that they only take cash and no cards. Great place to get a simple breakfast!

This place was hands down, the best part of my Portland experience. This is a god-awful city with bums and closed businesses everywhere. However, this restaurant is like what America used to be, good food at reasonable prices. Very clean and the staff are friendly.

I got lost on the way to Juniors cafe ...wrong turn....i was hungry...and this was the hit ...i try Juniors yet...i had a Benedict on Polenta and lightly "blanched" kale (assuming )nice if ur no carb no sugar ....they make their own "hollidaise" sp .? and i took the fruit as a side ...very fresh strawberrys, banana, kiwis, honeydew,and blood orange ....some were a little hard ...but who gives u a bowl like that !@!?...overall good breakfast and good price point!@and for u dark rich coffee lovers ,great coffee!! One server and he [email protected] place but not all good things come in big packages@@@!!!go get lost at John's....u will dig it !! But to be fair ..Check out Juniors acroos the bridge....and get back !@@

Great breakfast,broadway dispensary just a couple doors away as well
Locals eat here. Close walk from.union station. Husband and wife team. She served breakfast orders as repeat customers came in, they didn't even have to order. Very clean and swift

Great americana dîner in oldtown on NW Broadway. Super friendly server and great service that comes with convo if you welcome it.Food is basic no nonsense american fare that is still priced like it's 1999.... ...some of the clientele may have been regulars since then too!

Just a few blocks from the Amtrak station and opens at 7am for breakfast. A delightful owner as her personality and positive attitude shined. 50 years at the same location speaks volumes. Would definitely return.
