High-quality matcha is really the highlight. I drive from another part of town just to get something here. Anything with strawberry is great. Also very dog-friendly.

Gentrification of bubble tea. 10+ dollars for a standard size tea. Paper straw is barely strong enough to poke through the "doubts, fears, excuses" thing on the lid. I shook it like I'd done with every year in the past and managed to still get a mouthful of grit. It's just bubble tea. It shouldn't be this difficult or expensive.

I love the concept of this place: no chemicals, better ingredients, positive vibes, etc.——but the experience just doesn't match up.The limited "food" is microwaved in plastic wrap (super toxic!), many of the the "unsweetened" drinks are still rife with sugar (like total sugar bombs), because of the pastes and flavors they use.Not to mention that while I was in the cafe for an hour, I saw a dozen or more children and adolescents being served excessively high-caffeine drinks (read 16 ounce matcha, etc.).Anyway, I would love to be a super neighborhood champion, but at the end of the day, I don't think we need another expensive drink shop that peddles over-sweetened, over-caffeinated goods. It's no better than Starbucks, or the like.Disappointed.

Got the rose water milk tea with lychee jelly. It was very yummy. The employee was nice and the ambiance was nice, it was clean and open.

First time coming here, excited to see another Matcha options. The gal helped narrow down choices with popular favorites.

I ordered a salmon rice ball (forgot to take photo) and a strawberry matcha latte with boba ? the salmon rice ball was super good and I immediately wished I had ordered two. The matcha is wonderful as well! Ordered it half sweet and it was perfect to me, I would imagine full sweetness would be more like a dessert to me. You can tell the tea they use it's high quality. The staff are also very friendly and knowledgeable about the product

I LOVE matcha but don't always like how most cafe and boba shops served it with milk. When I heard Junbi did cold brew matcha creations I was so stoked to try it! The menu is extensive, serving teas, coffees, juices, small bites, soft serve and of course, matcha. I settled on the Guava Matcha and also tried a sip of the Tropical Refresher. Both drink drinks were yummy and refreshing. The matcha flavor wasn't too strong and the guava juice really shined through. They have 3 sweetness options: more, less or none. I wish I went with none because the guava juice was sweet enough and didn't need anymore additions. They have chia seed and red bean as add-ons which you don't see often at boba shops. You can also add additional shots of espresso or matcha if you need a stronger caffeine boost. This store had some games if you want to hang out and enjoy your drink here. There's a decent amount of seating and the shop wasn't too busy either. Can't wait to come back here again to try their other items!

Prepare for a taste sensation at Junbi Portland! They serve the best boba, matcha, and taro I've ever tasted. What distinguishes them is their commitment to quality ingredients. No powdered substitutes are used here; they use real taro, which makes a significant difference. The authentic taro imparts a rich, creamy flavor that is unparalleled. Their matcha tea is a true sensory delight. Everything about it, from the taste to the texture to the quality, is perfect. It offers a unique, vibrant flavor that is both refreshing and soothing. I ordered an iced Vanilla Taro Matcha Latte, which was incredibly delicious. Each sip was a harmonious blend of sweet vanilla, earthy taro, and aromatic matcha. It was a balanced symphony of flavors that left me wanting more. The service was quick and friendly in a fun environment. In conclusion, Junbi Portland is a must-visit for all boba and taro enthusiasts. Their dedication to quality and the remarkable flavor profiles they develop truly earn them a five-star rating. I'm eager to return and explore more of their menu!

Yay! Some variety and boba in Sellwood! Junbi specializes in matcha - good quality but very subtle vs in your face. They have many options. Whether you prefer more milk, less milk, they have a million options! The first time I went, I got the mango matcha with milk.. meaning it’s more tea based and only a splash of milk. I’d give that a 6/10. Just wasn’t a lot of flavor and I prefer more of a milky consistency.I went again and stuck with the classic matcha latte consistency but made it Guava as their new flavor. Their house purée was flavorful. Even with 50%, it was still too sweet for me! Drinks are around $7
