So hmm, very torn on my star rating for this review…the two dips we ordered…the French and the Turkey were both VERY tasty and the accompanying sauces were equally delicious…so why the 4? Sadly neither sandwich traveled well and were both a wet mess by the time they arrived. I realize this is due to the meat/sauce soak they receive before breading the sandwich. It is how you make a dip sandwich. Alas they just may need to alter that some so the sandwich can arrive with the bread more intact and not a wet mess. I did really like the flavor and will try to make it into the place itself to try it again as I have a feeling it’s better to have in the restaurant than it is delivered across town.

Hands down, the best French Dip with au jus, I have ever eaten. I live in Idaho and I go to Portland maybe twice a year. I have had to stop in to Kevin & Franky’s every time since I first tried their food. Last time we went twice in a weekend trip. If you like French Dips, this is a must try. The service is friendly, food is incredible.

We found this restaurant on Yelp as a place to visit in Portland and it did not disappoint! We had the Italians grinder and the classic French dip. The Italian grinder was deep in flavor but refreshing with veggies to balance it out. The classic French dip was perfect portion of meat and the Au jus dip was amazing with so much flavor. It was a cozy sandwich you would enjoy on the couch on a Sunday afternoon. We forgot to take pictures of the food before we demolished them. Highly recommend if you're in the area!

Delicious sandwiches. The bread has the perfect combination of crispiness on the outside while still being soft and easy for the mouth. The inside is softness all around. The chicken was very good and tender. I would definitely recommend these sandwiches as they're all around great.

Delicious Turkey club sandwich with a nice cranberry sauce and crispy bacon. The bread was really nice! My mom got the Cubano and I tasted it, too. Yummy! Good pickles, spicy mustard delicious porky goodness. My sister said her chicken dip was excellent with an herby mushroom type dip sauce. I thought the service was great, it looks nice and clean and was a great follow up after Powell's books with my family. Definitely recommending and going back when I need a tasty sandwich.

I found this place as a FB ad. My wife had been disappointed from an Italian sandwich she ordered a week before. So, I thought, "I hardly ever plan anything to take her out, imma doin this!" So Saturday right before they opened, we drove off to our destination. We showed up 5-10 minutes before they opened, but guy behind the counter didn't complain. My wife ordered the Italian Grinder and she ordered me the Roasted Chicken Dip. I became religious after the first bite,"My GOD!" Tried my wife's, almost even better. So we were there enjoying the food orgy our mouths were having alone besides the shop workers. It was as if we bought the place out an were having this wonderful date. The dip to my sandwich was way better than any au jus I have ever had. The cheese and meat and bread all working together and.... If I could call this soul food without someone pointing out I was wrong, I would. My wife left feeling full and satisfied with eating an Italian sandwich. It it's been a while since she has enjoyed and actually felt full from any food for that matter. So... yeah success!!! -Doctor Shades

The classic French Dip is hands down the best sandwich but I always get an extra side of the horseradish cream sauce.

Awesome french dip with truly spectacular au jus, great music, friendly staff. I'd absolutely eat here every day if I lived in PDX

Was walking around the Pearl and came across this gem. There was no line, and the the service was very kind and swift. I ordered the garlic Parmesan fries and caprese sandwich, both were super good. The fries were cooked perfectly and seasoned excellently. The caprese was very fresh and had some flavorful aioli. The inside was extremely clean as well, and provided for a perfect sit down option-though my experience with takeout was great. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a simple but satisfying meal.

Chicken dip sandwich was good but the dip juice was a little salty. Price was ok. Decor is a clean deli style. It was good but we will try another place first.

I never review anything but this place was so good I had to go on here to give them 5 stars! The classic French dip was amazing. The au jus is so well seasoned with depths of flavor and the horseradish cream is the perfect touch on pungent flavor that completes the sandwich. On top of that, the bread is a perfect vessel to soak up all that au jus. Best dip sandwich I’ve ever had and it’s not even close.

Today was the perfect day for a sandwich and my Google search lead me to this place, close enough to the River for me to walk to and get a sandwich. Although I’m not a fan of spending more the 10$ for a sandwich I understand that’s just the world and more importantly city that we live in. The Turkey Bacon Club was very tasty, tomato jam was good, even though I’m a fan of sliced tomatoes more. Sandwich was a good size and nicely filled with meat and veggies. My only knock for this sandwich is that it had way to much Mayo, and I wish I could use hindsight to ask for light Mayo. This much Mayo and the added tomato jam made for a slippery sandwich experience. The menu looked good enough to give K&F’s another try.

This place is awesome! Was in town to do a few presentations and this was recommended by two firms. The sandwiches are to die for

This is a cute tucked sandwich shop with a friendly staff. I ordered chicken tarragon sandwich, the bread is crispy, but soft. It was very good!
