Went with a girl friend, and we had the BEST time. I felt like we were picked up and dropped off in la la land. Ceviche was delicious as were the drinks - even the mocktails were spot on. Will definitely be back!

Delicious tacos! Wonderful drinks! Excellent service! We will be back! The fish taco special was great, the carnitas were very tasty and the handmade tortillas were such a treat!!

This is a small place in an old house with a very cozy, warm and inviting atmosphere. The Mexican food was prepared fresh and the service was speedy and the host and hostess acknowledged my presence right away with a smile. The quesadillas and tacos were a tad spicier than I'm accustomed to (and I'm a wimpy white guy when it comes to spicy food) but the spices made the tacos much more satisfying. Keep up the good work!

Food and drinks ??The non alcoholic option ??Only critique is there isn’t enough seating.

Looked like such a cool place, food was fine, drinks were fine, service was promt but unwelcoming and very condescending to the point I felt like we must be too old for a hip place like that nestled in the heart of Multnomah Village. We're all early 30's, so i suppose we are ancient to the new generation of bar-goers...?Tried to find a table inside for a small group of 5, it's for come first serve and you pick where you sit, so plan ahead if it's cold out.Attempted to order a Paloma since it's a *bar* (as we were reminded, good to note its not family friendly, 21+ only) with a lot of Mexican food and drinks. The server told us she wasn't sure what that was, and must have forgotten that google exists, so when we told her what was in it, rather than ask the bartender if it could be made, she told us the bar didn't carry simple syrup... which was an ingredient in multiple drinks on the menu. And a staple in bars across the globe.Nevertheless, our drinks were ordered and brought out quickly and were well made, we all enjoyed the food (the guac and salsa was great), and the hot sauce they have is *excellent*. Would have loved a crema on my tacos, but that's just bc I lived in SoCal for a long time- the marinade was excellent for the birria. The service got better but that was because we didnt see our server the rest of the meal. We were never asked if we wanted a second round after our first, and it took a really long time to bring us our check though staff was all hanging out at the bar.Might come back just my husband and I, but we definitely won't bring friends again, at least not until the weather and the demeanor gets significantly warmer.Vegetarian options: Quesadillas, mushroom tacos

Dua Lipa is blasting while you sip on your $15 cocktail. The “queso” on your nachos is served cold and with a texture reminiscent of mortar mix. The 30 square foot bedroom, which they have deemed large enough to open this “restaurant”, is full. So you opt for the uncomfortable high top, outside in the cold. This is culture, you think to yourself. Why travel when you have this “Latin” bar and restaurant, “La Palma”, right in your backyard?Hint: we will not be going back.

First of all the moment you walk into LaPalma the staff and energy are such positive vibes! So genuine and nice people working there. The food was delicious and we especially loved the queso with brisket they had as a special! The tacos were great! Authentic and super flavorful! Homemade tortillas too. I can't say enough good things about our whole experience!

Ceviche and chips were good. But I can’t believe it’s physically possible to create carnitas that have no flavor. Also…paper plates??

Really great cocktails, but the tacos aren't very good and overpriced. They were overloaded with a soggy, bland filling, which felt more like a pile of mush on a some tortillas, rather than an actual taco. The taco cart down the street by Chevron, or the one that's a quick stroll down the hill to the Multnomah Village food pod are far superior.

La Palma was a delightful find. It's small and can be a bit loud and tight inside (or cold and wet outside unless there's a fire going). They don't offer an extensive Mexican menu but you probably won't find better tacos in town. Their signature cocktails menu is impressive, including a thoughtful selection of non-alcoholic "mocktails." They were quite busy on a Tuesday night but food was delivered quickly and the staff never failed to ask if they could do or bring anything more to make our visit better. Everyone at our table raved about their tacos, so I don't think there's a bad choice, but I'll shout out for their camarones (shrimp) taco. All tacos are $5 each, or the smaller "street tacos" on the happy hour menu are $2 or $3 each. With only five different tacos on the menu (one is vegetarian) it would be easy to try everything they offer in one visit. Their chips, salsa and guac were very good as well. I felt La Palma had a great vibe and think it would be easy to make them a regular stop.Vegetarian options: They serve five different tacos. One, "Hongos, Elote y Poblano" (mushroom, corn and pepper) is vegetarian. The chips, salsa and guacamole are too.Parking: It's Multnomah Village, so take the first space you see.
