Lalibela Ethiopian Restaurant

We love Ethiopian food and we're excited to try this place. We went all in with the veggie combo and it really didn't disappoint. Food was great and service was friendly. Highly recommend.

My Family and I went from California to Portland. This Reasturant is underrated. The food is jaw dropping, and service of the chart. If you want a real Ethiopian food taste go to Lalibela restaurant. The owner is so sweet. The server name Hermela is so humble. I can go on and on about this place. I absolutely recommend this place!

Probably the best meal of my entire life, and when she brought out the traditional coffee with the incense - game over!!! I’m taking everyone I know here.

First time having Ethiopian food and it blew me away!! The inside of the restaurant is simply decorated and the smells are AMAZING!
We ordered the Kinche and Sambusa to start. The Kinche was delicious and the Sambusa had a little bit of a heat to it but nothing crazy. For dinner my wife and I shared Beef and Lamb Tibs....holy smokes! 100000/10 for sure on taste. The lemony flavor of the Injera mixed with the Tibs and salad were out of this world. Definitely would return.
Only mild complaint would be service. We were the only table when we were seated and it took at least 40mins to get our food while other tables got their food much quicker after arriving.

Love love love love love this gem of a restaurant. You will find the most deliciously prepared food. I enjoy the Kitfo and vegetarian platter. I have always gotten the best service. Treat yourself!

Delicious! For 6 people we got the family platter (serves 4) and the veggie plate (serves 2).

I LOVE this place- try the COFFEE!!!!
But the injera plates are equally alluring…. okay maybe I like the coffee best. ;) Wish you had a bigger place!

New fave Ethiopian restaurant in Portland! The family combo is PERFECT. My wife and I loved every dish in it, and it's rare that we can't finish a combo. I think this will feed 3 adults or potentially 2 adults and 2 kids. Can't wait to come back! I plan on grabbing one of these to go and making a few amazing lunches during the work week. Super cute space with cozy atmosphere.
