Lalibela Ethiopian Restaurant

I ordered the veggie combo at Lalibela and each dish was very flavorful! The veggie combo easily feeds two adults. While I was eating in the restaurant, I saw a lot of people getting to-go orders, so apparently this restaurant is popular for to-go.
Also, their bathrooms were very clean

We came in for lunch. We had Lalibela Platter. It was a huge platter that two of us could not finish. Every item was flavorful! I wished I had more room in my stomach. The service was quick and super friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We are definitely coming back for more.

Easy to find and only 15 minute drive from our home in Vancouver. Arrived at 6pm and found parking for our large truck immediately.
Walked right in and we were greeted with kind, welcoming energy right away. Before even entering we could smell the intoxicating aromas of fresh cooked cuisine.
Perfect pace of service for dinner. With a pleasant community taking part in this beautiful dance of culture and creativity.
We shared the special combo and the two of us could not finish it. Everything on the platter was bright, fresh, crisp and made with care. Typing this the next day I realize that I feel amazing! Such healthy, delicious, clean food to make me feel energized for the next day!
If you only go to try the homemade tea, you will have a story to tell your friends. Take your time and sip it slow. Inhale the spices and see if you can detect cardamom, cinnamon, clove. Absolutely uplifting.
Next time we go in we are taking our son. He will love it!

We got the beginning plate and it was delicious! Injira is a great bread alternative for people that are GF. So fun in a group. Its a very social meal.

Fantastic. Amazing. Sooo good. Little hole in the wall spot on MLK. The food was so good. The presentation just.... I'm speechless. Oh and the honey wine. OMG. The server was so sweet. We were so happy. We will be back again and again.

Side note. It didn't really matter for our experience but the restroom was so nice and clean.

So flavorful! Did the veggie combo and got double portions on lentils & split peas because I can’t have potato. The split peas were my favorite! Lentils have a slight bit of heat to them. Large portion!!!

Listen until you've had their gomen you ain't had greens. I grew up eating all manner of greens, but this place makes me wanna smack my granny. Injera bread is so tender and the taste is mild but noticeable. So, gomen was amazing, the lamb was great (little dry meat but sauce fixed it) and the injera the best I've had so far. Fr tho that gomen....🤤🤤

I really like Ethiopian food - and this is the best I have ever had. Fantastic flavours with a huge vegetarian selection. Good friendly service. It's become my go to when we have friends come visit.

Excellent dishes, boldly spiced and well flavored. Bouncy injera and fresh vegetables. Delightful people behind the counter and in the kitchen. Looking forward to returning for more.
