Great date spot❤️

I would go here everyday if I lived in Portland. Lower level entry, with their patio venue upstairs. Intimate space, low lighting, music playing, good wine, and grilled cheese, yes grilled cheese!
I recommend reservations but they do take walk-ins. They have a communal table that seats 5. There is another table of 4, some bar seating, and this elevated section in the wall with a small couch. You have to hop up and it was taken when we arrived but I suspect id have trouble getting up there at only 5'1.
The bartenders are nice, know their wine, and will pick something off menu for you. I was expecting more Oregon wine on the menu but I love French wine so no problem.

Not open during stated business hours. We came to the neighborhood specifically to try this spot, so it was a bit disappointing.
Small yet cozy place with character. Wine is delicious and folks working there know their stuff!! We had a great time celebrating a friend’s bachelorette.

We asked for a taster and the waiter said no. We thought that it must be standard practice at this establishment so we ordered blindly and then watch the same waiter pour tasters for other patrons. Not sure what that was all about? The cab franc was excellent

$14-22 per glass.Overpriced, low quality, uninteresting wine. For tourists that lack knowledge about wine.
Cozy, intimate atmosphere. Great for a date or outing with a friend or two. Extensive wine list, both for glasses and bottles. Our server Pierre was incredibly knowledgeable and made our visit a fun experience.

Random find. Speak easy vibez with amazing wine. ✨ But Nathan made our experience amazing with his amazing energy and knowledge of wine. 13/10 highly recommend ?✨? Such a good stumble upon

Unpleasant experience with Nathan. Upon entering to check out the space and glance at the menu for a future date night, I was abruptly asked to leave because of my child. Despite the female bartender explaining I was just browsing, Nathan insisted I depart and even hung up on me when I called to express my dissatisfaction. Such treatment is unacceptable, and I would not consider visiting this place again based on this incident.

Friendly knowledgeable staff in an incredible, unique and intimate space. Terrific wine selection and the grilled cheese sandwiches .... You just have to try them to understand how I credible they are.
$14-22 per glass.Overpriced, low quality, uninteresting wine. Inattentive, unwelcoming service (Frenchman). Primarily for tourists that lack knowledge about wine.
So far we have visited twice and have had a lovely experience each time. We have sat at the upstairs Le Clos each time, we like the indoor/outdoor feel. The vibe is pretty chill with soft lighting and heaters, perfect for a first or second or 100th date. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable, we've had wonderful conversations each time, and the wine options are great. The Wineman's Choice is a great option for those who are looking to explore and you can choose between red or white, you won't be disappointed. When it comes to the grilled cheese, the Oregonian is a great choice. Cheers!
