Coffee is very good. 5 star on the drinks and staff. I only wish there were more options for baked goods.

This place is fantastic! The people at Esperanza are so friendly, the coffee is delicious - you can tell the baristas know what they're doing. Having Mexican food and drink choices is a great alternative to everywhere else, and so delicious. Love their escobeches. There's a great layout to the space, with essentially three different small rooms, one right by the roaster to get that great fresh coffee smell. Also huge plus that it's dog friendly inside!

From the people behind La Perlita and Republica, Esperanza focuses on Mexican/Cuban coffee. We trief their Cortadito and Espresso; both were very strong and refreshing. The Cortadito was such a treat with its foamy top and slight sweetness from their cinnamon syrup. They also serve pastries from Matutina but, alas, they're already out when we were their.Their shop is spacious and decorated in an industrial style with many nooks and tables you can work at or hangout.

This is a great spot to have your coffee for here. There coffee is good, the staff is super chill and there are some good spots to work with laptop. The only is that the concha prices a little ridiculous.

Excellent coffee, love the added spice (cardamom?) They use. Great service. Wine available for purchase. Small pastry case with conchas etc.

Best cortado in town, by far! Their pan dulce is awesome (try the 'puerquito'). And enjoy the working lounge they have in the back, it's

We went here around 10am on a Saturday and it was already pretty busy, but it just got busier during our stay, so we made good timing. The barista was super nice and helpful in explaining some of their coffee drinks since there weren't any descriptions anywhere. We had a couple of pastries which were unique to other cafe pastries and delicious! I love how spaced out it is and you have a lot of options for places to sit whether you want to socialize with your party or hunker down to work. And the coffee is perfect!

My favorite drink is the "Cafe de Olla" latte, I believe it's spices and subtle orange flavor. It's super delicious and not too sweet. The staff here are always so kind and care about providing customers with drinks they will love. I accidentally ordered my drink with regular milk instead of oat milk. This was completely my fault. I tried to take a few sips but the regular milk flavor was making it impossible for me to want to keep drinking it. Anyways, I went to the counter to buy a new drink so that I would order it with oat milk this time, this mistake was my fault. The staff were so kind and understood my problem right away. I really appreciate them being approachable and for making a new drink for me. The staff are so understanding and the environment here is awesome.

Outstanding coffee & pastries (empanadas and concha’s are my favorites). Try a Mexican cortadito for a little sweet & spicy goodness.

My absolute favorite coffee shop in Portland and it's right in my neighborhood! Staff is incredibly knowledgable about their craft. Plenty of milk and milk substitutes for the vegans out there. They even know my order by heart and give my dog lots of attention, which she desperately requires. Dogs are allowed inside too! Shoutouts to Ren for their hardwork roasting those beans. Go to the best coffee shop in the city, you won't regret it :)

Great little shop. Extremely dog and kid friendly. My go-to place to fill up a thermos of drip coffee in the morning. The pro tip is that they also sell their in-house roasted coffee by the pound, just bring your own container. Quality for price it might be the best coffee deal in town.

So thoroughly satisfied with my experience here. Great, authentic coffee. Delicious pastries, diversity of cool work spaces, and you can take home a bottle of wine.
