Love the Bacon, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. I do have 2 suggestions. You should add also a ham or pork roll as a breakfast sandwich option and ketchup should be a topping option. Being able to put ketchup in it, is going to give that East Coast bodega breakfast sandwich fill which this city really needs. Only thing you can add but nothing that needs changing, you are very good!

It's hard to find a vegetarian sandwich to scratch the sandwich itch like a meat sammy can. Lottie & Zula's does it right, and I keep coming back for the Charlie sandwich. It's flavorful, a little smoky, melty, delicious, and filling. If you're on the fence, hop off and eat here for good food & good vibes.

This has remained our go-to breakfast sandwich spot for the entire time we've been out here. There are definitely other close seconds in the city, but nothing compares to the breakfast bolo served here. There are other sandwiches are great too. They have great coffee drinks. Their service is excellent

Exceeded expectations! I literally never see a mortadella sandwich on the menu at any sandwich shop I go to so I was ecstatic because it's been on my bucket list of sandwiches to try. I ordered the Allen, a mortadella melt and it was phenomenal. When I opened the sandwich I gasped at the cheese pull. Fresh off the grill with toasty bread and delicious caramelized onions. All the flavors were perfectly balanced. I'm sure the other sandwiches are lovely, in fact my friends sandwich that I tried a bite of delicious, but I'll be coming back for that mortadella! The potato salad was also great and I loved how dill forward it was. Very clean, cool interior, with kind staff.
Incredible sandwich. Perfectly toasted bread.. top tier giardiniera.. all the flavors came together to truly create the best bites.

Phenomenal! Ordered the Ricky Italian and a bag of chips and couldn’t ask for a more perfect lunch combo. Sad to say it was my first time, but definitely won’t be my last. Kind folks working and doing their thing. Straight forward and no fuss. How could you not buy the mini beer, too?
Thanks, y’all!

I got the Ricky's Italian grinder and it was just okay. I grew up in Chicago going to sandwich shops and have traveled in Italy and throughout Manhattan and have a sense of what they give you when it's the best. This was halfway there: Not super loaded, provolone not at all funky or Smokey, not super meaty, not super zesty and the "gardinera" was completely flat. I don't know what that is that they're serving calling it gardinera but it is neither spicy nor zesty and doesn't have the kick. I can recommend an excellent brand of gardinera made by Lebanese People in Chicago sold here at Barbour foods If the folks at this sandwich shop would like to up their game.
Although I lament the loss of Toro Bravo (truly great and innovative Portland restaurant for many years in this same space) I do like the way they've tricked this out as a old school, maybe skatery (With all the stickers) interior. Makes for a good, working class Sandwich counter vibe. The bathroom is especially fun with its music and stickers.

Favorite sandwich shop. So much attention to detail, not only on ingredients and preparation, but ambience and selection is something else.
