Such beautiful people here and the cuisine was a blessing to a home sick Trini that was unaware that belizeans had such similar food to us. A hidden gem in Portland that is a home away from home.
Had the single chicken and loved how unique and savory the flavors were. Highlights for me are the rice and beans which I could make a meal out of on their own. Additional shout out to the broth/drippings they included. It really took the chicken and rice to another level.
Got some Belizian love for my friend and I for the first time today we had Belizian food and Holy Moley this chicken is fire! Got me some firey and sweet sauce was like Mae Ploy but fit for the King Rama himself! The skin is charcoal heaven and the pickled onions are to die for! The salad uplifts you from the spicy, sweet, savory delicious Melody but keeps you coming back for more! I even had a ratatouille flashback of my Uncle barbecuing chicken when I was a wee lad.
